1) Define

 Media Literacy
Media literacy is the ability to Access, Analyze, Evaluate, Create, and Act using all
forms of communication. In its simplest terms, media literacy builds upon the foundation
of traditional literacy and offers new forms of reading and writing. Media literacy
empowers people to be critical thinkers and makers, effective communicators and active
citizens.
 Information Literacy
Information literacy includes the ability to identify, find, evaluate, and use information
effectively. From effective search strategies to evaluation techniques, students learn
how to evaluate the quality, credibility, and validity of websites, and give proper credit.
Information Literacy has also been referred to as digital literacy or media literacy.
Regardless of the terminology, be it digital literacy or media literacy, having information
literacy skills are the fundamentals to thrive in a digital space.
 Technological Literacy
Technology literacy is the ability to effectively use technology to access, evaluate,
integrate, create and communicate information to enhance the learning process through
problem-solving and critical thinking.

2) Describe how communication is affected by Media and Information.

Media- the media makes communicating a lot easier than before, there is the internet
which enables chatting with friends and families through phone screens. It greatly
affects the distribution of information; it widens the range in just a short time. There is
also TV Networks, radios, that communicates with a large amount of people.
Information- it is the supply of communication; it makes talking and sharing opinion with
others much more meaningful answer with sense. Information is what we talk about,
even the mere thing that you inform your parents that you are going to come home late
via phone call or chat is giving out information.
3) Identifies the similarities and differences of Media Literacy, Information
Literacy, Technology Literacy
Media literacy, information literacy, and technology literacy are all similar in terms of
goals. They all share the common goal of cultivating people’s ability to access,
understand, use, evaluate, and create media messages, information, or content using
information technology. They are all similar to the mastery and understanding of a thing.
Media literacy, information literacy, and technology literacy’s differences. Media literacy
uses forms of communication and produces ways of communication. It is about media
content. While Information literacy is using, managing, gathering, and verifying
information. It is about library science. And Technology literacy is applying new found
knowledge from digital environments, participating in digital media, organizing, and
evaluating information.
4) Identify The characteristics of competent producers are; describes how
communication is affected by media and information
The characteristics of competent producers are; describes how communication is
affected by media and information.
A responsible user should not post anything that contain false news or issue. He /She
should verify the source of news he / she post or share. No one should post anything if
it is not really necessary. Everyone should be a kind ad not bashing or fighting with
others online. And being users of media and information can be quite tricky. Here are
some of the characteristics of responsible users; first you have to know how to use
media righteously, second do not use media to harm other people like bashing them.
and the third is you have to think about the social consequences of things you are
posting or sharing online
