Kyle Kingsbury has the perfect life. He is handsome and wealthy because of his father. However,
because of being given special treatment by others all his life, he has a rotten attitude that is self
centered and degrades people that are not as good looking as him. His father does not pay
attention to Kyle and avoids him, while his mother is in Miami with another husband and never
calls home. Even so, Kyle is not aware of the lonely hole he has in his heart because he is too
caught up with physical appearances.

Kyle is first introduced to the witch that turns him into a beast, Kendra Hilferty, when they are at
his school, Tuttle. During this time, the class was voting for the prince and princess of the Tuttle
dance that was coming up in a few days. Kendra stood up with the paper and claimed that the
voting ballot was disgusting and biased towards those with better physical appearance. At this
time, Kyle challenges her on the concern about physical appearance. After Kyle argues with her,
he gets a foreboding feeling that Kendra is not normal and is like a witch. Kyle then decides to
ask Kendra to the dance in order to embarrass her in front of the whole school by blowing her off
at the dance by going with the prettiest girl in school, Sloane Hagen, instead.
When Sloane hears that Kyle asked Kendra to the dance, she calls Kyle in an outrage. Kyle
manages to calm her down by telling her his cruel plan to embarrass Kendra at the dance. Sloane
decides to go along with Kyle's plan after much persuasion on Kyle's part. Sloane then tells Kyle
to buy her a purple orchid to go along with her dance dress. Kyle agrees and also asks Kendra
what flower corsage she would want for her dress. Kendra tells Kyle to get a white rose to match
her dress. The night of the dance, Kyle finds out that Magda, the maid, only bought a white rose.
Kyle is outraged but decides to bring the flower anyway. When Sloane sees that Kyle bought the
wrong flower, she throws a hissy fit. At the dance, Kyle blows off Kendra like planned and
Kendra leaves after giving Kyle a warning. Kyle ends up giving the unwanted white rose to the
ticket person at the dance. After the dance, Kyle returns home to find Kendra in his bedroom.
Kendra then turns Kyle into a beast to resemble what he is on the inside. Kyle is given a second
chance by Kendra in order for him to break his curse and return back to his normal form. He has
to fall in love with a girl that loves him back and kiss her in order to prove it. Kyle is given 2
years for his second chance. He soon finds out that he has to kiss someone he truly loves when
he failed to change back into a human after kissing Sloane. Kyle's father finds out about the
curse and tries to fix it using medical surgery, but that does not work either. Kendra then gives
Kyle a magical mirror that allows him to see anyone through it. Shortly afterwards, Kyle's father
moves him to Brooklyn and leaves Kyle to live with the maid, Magda. Kyle successfully
blackmails his father into getting him a tutor and internet connection. The tutor, Will, that Kyle
gets turns out to be a blind man that is well educated. Will gets Kyle into gardening roses so that
Kyle is not depressed inside the house.
One night, a few months later, a man with drugs breaks into Kyle's house and is caught on tape.
Kyle then blackmails the trespasser into bringing his daughter to come live with him. The next
week, The trespasser's daughter, Linda, arrives at the house and openly declares that she hates
Kyle for holding her prisoner at his house. After a few weeks, Linda and Kyle meet face to face
at night when they go to the living room/kitchen. The two talk and Linda starts to warm up to
Kyle. Their relationship then gets better as time passes. Linda now thinks of Kyle as a close
friend and Kyle wishes for Linda to see him as something more. Kyle then decides to bring
Linda to the mountains of New York so she can go outside with him without being disturbed by
other people. The two have a good time until Linda sees her sick father in the magic mirror that
Kyle has. Kyle then lets Linda leave so that she can care for her father. At that time, Kyle claims
to have given up all hope of breaking the curse. When spring comes, he goes back to his brown
stone house in Brooklyn with a small hope that Linda might visit.
Linda never visits, but Kyle secretly looks at her through the magical mirror. Two hours before
the second chance to break the curse is over, Kyle looks at Linda in the mirror and sees her
captured by a man. He recklessly boards a subway full of people so that he can go save Lindy. At
this time, the people on the subway panic and try to get rid of him or capture him. Kyle struggles
to free himself from this mob, but eventually escapes. As he bounds through the streets, he uses
his memory and instinct to guide him to Lindy because he destroyed his magical mirror on the
subway. Kyle eventually find the building Lindy is in and attacks the man that is holding Lindy.
In the struggle to free Lindy, Kyle gets shot and is dying on the ground. The man that held Lindy
hostage escapes to go get the police while Lindy is next to Kyle. Kyle asks Lindy to kiss him and
she does. Kyle changes back into a human, but Lindy does not recognize him. After much
struggle, Kyle persuades Lindy that he is the beast that was dying on the ground just a minute
ago. The villain that held Lindy hostage earlier comes back with the police only to find that Kyle
is human again. The police arrest the villain and Kyle and Lindy go back home. Will regains his
eyesight, and Kyle finds out that Magda is actually Kendra. Kendra then wishes Kyle and Lindy
good luck and leaves with her family.

And i encourage many people to read this book or watch in movie because this movie is so
awesome and it gives many revelation for every says in actor, and if you watch this is makes
your life change.
