1. Why did Dr. Jose Rizal rose on top among filipino heroes and acclaimed as the greatest
national hero?

Dr. Jose Rizal is a man who believes that a pen is mightier than a sword. He fought
foreign colonizers in silent but in a powerful way and awakened the nationalism and
patriotism of every filipino citizens by using words through his stories, novels, essay,
articles and etc... Unlike other Philippine national heroes, Dr. Jose Rizal is only one
who avoided spilling filipino blood in fighting foreign colonizers and sacrificed only
his life for his beloved people..

2. Who made Dr. Jose Rizal the foremost hero in the country?

In my opinion, no single person or groups of people were responsible for making the
Greatest Malayan the No. 1 Hero of his people. Rizal himself, his own people, & the
foreigners all together contributed to make him the greatest hero & martyr of his people.

1. Explain the mandate of Republic Act 1425.

By studying the lives of heroes such as Rizal, we are supposed to become more aware
of the ideals that our country is founded upon. We are supposed to become more aware
of the sacrifices (such as Rizal giving his life) that our forefathers made in order that
we could have an independent country. In other words, the study of such heroes is
supposed to make us more patriotic and more appreciative of what we have today. So,
studying about Rizal’s life can awaken the nationalism and patriotism of every filipino
and make them a better citizen of the country.

2. Explain the patriotic goals and policy statement of Republic Act 1425.
Republic Act 1425, also known as Rizal Law. A mandatory learning or including
Rizal's life and his literatures in the curriculum of every private and public school
system in the Philippines, which was implemented by former President Ramon
magsaysay on june 12, 1956. It's purpose is to awaken the sense of patriotism and
nationalism in every Filipino youth and push them to apply the principles bequeathed
by Rizal as solutions to present day problem. Also, to pay tribute to our national hero
for devoting his life and works in shaping filipino character.
