1. What are the unique properties of water?

The five main properties of water:
1. Its attraction to polar molecules
2. High-specific heat
3. High heat of vaporization
4. The lower density of ice
5. High polarity

2. What happens to water at 4’C under standard atmospheric pressure?

4 degrees C turns out to be the temperature at which liquid water has the highest density. If
you heat it or cool it, it will expand. The expansion of water when you cool it to lower
temperatures is unusual, since most liquids contract when they're cooled.
An interesting consequence of this peculiar feature of water is that the temperature of water
at the bottom of a lake in the winter is almost always 4 degrees C, since the densest water
will settle to the bottom -- if it gets any colder or warmer, it will rise. Ice floats on top of
lakes, preventing evaporation (and convection in the frozen layer), and lakes stay liquid
underneath, allowing fish and other life to survive.

3. What is the name of the property that allows water to absorb heat?
Water has the highest heat capacity of all liquids. Oceans cool slower than the land due to
the high heat capacity of water. To change the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree
Celsius, it takes 1.00 calorie.

4. What could be the reason behind the maximum error percentage?

There are many factor that could be the cause. Some of the major factor are: 1) human error,
looking at the submerge scale would be very difficult. 2) Water temperature in not same at
every point in tube. 3) While conducting experiment the atmospheric pressure in the area
was 100.2Kpa and atmospheric temperature was 23.5 degree C, which is not standard.
