267 Ministry Development Worker - Job Description - Dec 2019

Job Title:
• Ministry Development Worker. This is an exciting new role and we hope it will enable 267 to grow some areas
of ministry as well as significantly develop our support of churches across the area

Role Summary:
• To support 267 through imagining, creating, publicising and running events; the priority being, Xsite St Albans,
residentials and activities linked to, and including, Fuel
• To establish a ‘Church Communications Plan’ and implement it, so that our network of church partners are
continually aware of all our ministries and can access them easily.

Reporting:
• Director of 267

Contract Type, Hours & Rates:


• 1-year contract (with the hope of extending)
• 20 hours per week
• Up to £10.00 per hour

Location:
• At least two sessions per week, min 8 hours, to be in the office based in St Albans
• Attending evening trustees meetings where required
• Attending occasional additional evening meetings as and when required (such as training etc.)
• Flexibility to work from home or office at all other times

Duties:
1. You will have a key responsibility in the planning and running of Fuel events. This will include publicity, service
planning and ensuring worship team, preacher and leader have all they need.
2. Alongside Mike, support the planning and delivery of our Xsite events each term. This offers a great
opportunity to work with a wide of churches and gifted individuals, as well as 60+ kids!
3. To meet with the 267 Director regularly so that everyone is aware of upcoming events and tasks needed to be
done
4. To spend Thursday (Team Day) in the office
5. To seek to mentor 2 Fuel attendees in coordination with the home church of the individuals
6. Join the 267 Director at meetings/opportunities which will assist in the role and give a broader view of youth
and children’s ministry in our area.
7. Attend the 267 Breakfast, these happen on the first Wednesday of each month. The aim of these events is to
encourage and support those involved in youth & children’s ministry and for 267 to share about upcoming
events
8. To be involved in other 267 ministry areas which are appropriate to the role and through discussion with the
267 Director

2. Completion of any objectives that you set at the beginning of each term
3. Relationships with volunteers, youth & children’s leaders, young people, kids, have grown and are positive
4. Relevant areas of ministry have been a success from the perspective of the Director, the trustees and yourself
5. The profile of 267 has been raised through your role
6. Churches have a better understanding of 267 and are able to access our events and resources easily
7. You feel affirmed, encouraged and that you have had a significant impact on the ministry of 267
