Robot

A robot can be defined

as a programmable, self-
controlled device
consisting of electronic,
electrical, or mechanical
units. More generally, it
is a machine that
functions in place of a
living agent
Humanoid Robot
Sophia
Sophia is
a social
humanoid
robot.
Humanoid Robot :

A humanoid robot
is a robot with its
body shape built to
resemble the
human body.
And behaves like
human.
History:

⇒The first humanoid robot was created by

George Devol and constructed by
Unimation

⇒The first robot manufacturing company.

Waseda University initiated the WABOT
project in 1967, and in 1972 completed the
WABOT-1

⇒The world's first full-scale humanoid

intelligent robot.

PROBLEMS WE NEED TO SOLVE

PERCEPTION(Sensin

COGNITION(Thinking)

ACTION(Moving)
Perception

VISION

 A couple of digital cameras to its head

 GPS satellite navigation, lidar, sonar, radar,

and infrared detectors, accelerometers—

and any number of other sensors
HEARING

 Microphone
 Human speech into recognizable text

SMELL

mass spectrometers and gas chromatographs

electrochemical detectors
Other senses

Building a robot with human touch has
suddenly become problem

Taste - PH meter

Navigation through Earths Magnetic
Field
Cognition

Logical and rational where humans are
more emotional and inconsistent.

Action

virtually all robots moved around on wheels rather
than fully articulated human legs

 Effectors include legs,wheels,arms,

fingers,wings and fans

Hardware Design

 A controller is a device which takes one

or more inputs and adjusts its outputs
so a connected device functions in a
controlled manner.
Advantages:
⇒ Robots look like human
⇒ ......Stronger,tough
⇒.......do not complain
⇒.......cannot be exhausted
⇒.......can do the multiple works at
time.
Robots can do the huge tasks very
easily like lifting large bodies etc...
we can use these robots in army
also to protect the people.
Disadvantages:
⇒Robots are not well developed
⇒incredibly hard to implement
⇒ ......have no emotions
⇒.......cannot be trusted
⇒.......cannot be exhausted
==It cannot think like humans,
==It is charged body if there is
==No charge then it would not
Work
Conclusion:
The main task of these humanoid
robots can carry their task without
any harm to the human. It decreases
the human effort and carries their
job in very best manner
