Evidence: My presentation outline

A. Find a topic of personal interest. Imagine you are going to present that topic
orally to your teacher and classmates at school. For this part of the evidence
you need to carry out exhaustive research in order to be able to present all the
necessary information related to your selected topic. Report the most important
aspects of your research through a brainstorm of the ideas and concepts that
you think will be relevant to the presentation.

Brainstorm

Example of topic: Aviation.

 Aviation refers to the use of commercial and non-commercial aircrafts

for transportation of people or goods.

 The A380, manufactured by the Airbus Industry, is the biggest plane

ever made.

Topic: _____________________

A 3D printer is a machine capable of replicating 3D designs, creating parts or volumetric

models from a computer-made design. They arise with the idea of converting 2D files into
real or 3D prototypes. It has been commonly used in the prefabrication of parts or
components, in sectors such as architecture and industrial design. At present, its use is
being extended in the manufacture of all types of objects, models for emptying,
complicated parts, food, medical prostheses (since 3D printing allows each manufactured
piece to be adapted to the exact characteristics of each patient), etc.

There are multiple commercial models:

1. of laser sintering, where a supplier deposits thin layers of powder of different

metals (steel, aluminum, titanium ...)

2. 2.stereo-lithography, where a photosensitive resin is cured with ultraviolet light

beams, producing its solidification.

3. of compaction, with a mass of dust that is compacted by strata.

4. According to the method used for powder compaction, they can be classified
into:

5. 3D ink printers: use a binder ink to compact the powder. The use of an ink allows
printing in different colors.

6. 3D laser printers: It is a laser that transfers energy to dust causing it to be

polychrome. It is then immersed in a liquid that causes the detailed areas to
solidify.

B. Now, structure your presentation using the Signpost language learnt during this
learning activity. Present your outline through presentation cards. Use as many
cards as you need.

Remember: Each presentation card should include a heading, a

phrase at the bottom, a number and it should be organized by
numbering and bulleting.

Structure: I’m going to divide this talk into five parts.

1. Early beginnings.
2. Civil aviation.
3. Commercial aviation.
4. Modern aircrafts manufacturers:
a. Airbus.
b. Boeing.
c. Embraer.
5. The most famous aircrafts in history:
a. Concorde.
b. Boeing 747.
c. Airbus A380.

Let’s turn now to the first part: the early beginnings

of aviation…

Structure: I’m going to divide this talk into three parts.

1. Review

2. Software

3. Types of 3D printers

A. 3D ink printers

B. 3D laser printers

C. Printers that inject polymers

Let's move on to the first part: review

REVIEW

3D printing in the original sense of the term refers to the processes

in which material is sequentially accumulated in a bed or platform
by different manufacturing methods, such as polarization, injection
of binder, injection of binder, extrusion of material, bed of material
powder, metal lamination, metal deposit.

let's move on to the second part: software

Software

To be able to make the design of parts that can be printed in 3D,

some CAD software (computer-aided design) is required, of which
we can mention:

1. Blender
2. Draftight
3. Catia
4. FreeCAD
5. OpenSCAD
6. Solid work
7. Tinkercad

let's now turn to the third and last part: types of 3d

TYPES OF 3D PRINTERS

1. 3D ink printers: In the case of ink printers, the

compositional powder used can be based on plaster or
cellulose (the most common is plaster).
2. 3D laser printers: In a pool with liquid resin and quadrangle
with ultraviolet light laser. These are acrylic-based photo-
polymers with different physical-mechanical properties:
variety of flexibilities, elongation at break, strength, colors,
etc.
3. Printers that inject polymers: Certain printers use filaments
of PLA, ABS, TUVALU, Nylon, ... (thermoplastic plastic
filament), these melt the plastic building with it very thin
layers superimposed to create the object.

References

C. To complete the evidence, you must now write a complete list of references
using the guidelines given by the American Psychological Association (APA). Do
not forget to organize your references alphabetically.
When you finish your work, send the file to your instructor through the platform as
follows:

1. Click on the title of this evidence.

2. Click on Examinar mi equipo and look for the file in your computer. Make sure
the file is attached.
3. Leave a comment for the instructor (optional).
4. Click Enviar.

Note: This evidence is an individual activity. Remember to check the learning guide
in order to know if you have done all the assigned activities, know how to develop
them and deliver them correctly.
