I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student is able to:

A. Content knowledge about anti-bullying act and it’s types in elementary and secondary
school in the Philippines setting,
B. Perform a role-play about bullying, and
C. Display a positive attitude towards anti-bullying.

II. Subject Matter


Title: Anti-Bullying Act
Reference: The Teaching Profession Book by Lourdes S. Lim, Ed. D, Rosalina A. Caubic, Ed. D
and Luvimi L. Casihan, Ph. D.
Materials: Cartolina, pictures, pentelpen, and scotch tape.

C. Presentation

Our topic for today is all about Anti-bullying act


or an act requiring all elementary and secondary
schools to adopt policies to prevent and address
the acts of bullying in their institutions.
Who among you here experienced being
bullied?
Yes Aiah? Aiah: I was being punched by my classmate in
the face teacher.
What did your teacher do ? Aiah: She told my classmate not to do it again.

Okay, we are going to tackle about the nature of


anti-bullying.

D. Discussion

Bullying is refer to any severe or repeated use by


one or more students of a written verbal or
electronic expression, or a physical act or
gesture, or any combination thereof , directed at
another student that has the effect of actually
causing or placing the latter in reasonable fear of
physical or emotional harm or damage to his
property; creating a hostile environment at
school for the other student; infringing on the
rights of the other student at school; or
materially and substantially disrupting the
education process or the orderly operation of a
school such as :
a. Any unwanted physical contact between
bully and the victim like punching,
pushing, shoving, kicking, slapping,
tickling, headlocks, inflicting school
pranks, teasing, fighting, and the use of
available objects as weapons.
b. Any act that causes damage to a victim’s
psyche and/or emotional well-being.
c. Any slanderous statement or accusation
that causes the victim undue emotional
distress like directing foul language or
profanity at the target, name-calling,
tormenting, and commenting negatively
on victim’s looks, clothes, and body; and
d. Cyber-bullying or any bullying done
through the use of technology or any
electronic means.

rows will be the group 1, the other two rows will
be group 2.
On my left side, the first and second row will be
the group 3, and then the third and fourth row
will be the group 4.
Under your chair, I posted your assigned topic
and refer to your books what section you’ve
assigned and write it in the cartolina the nature
of sections you’ve assigned, then pick one
representative to present what information
you’ve gathered.
I will give you 5 minutes to work on that. Group 1: doption of Anti-bullying act.

Sine you’ve already have groups. In 3 minutes, I


want you to perform a scenario showing about
bullying and as a future teacher, how will you
stand on giving a positive attitude towards the
bully and the bullied.
I will give you 5 minutes to collaborate with your
group.
You will be graded according to the criteria.
Originality and creativity- 35%
Overall coordination and presentation – 35%
Content- 30%

Since that you understand our lesson.


To sum all, anti-bullying is any severe or repeated
use by one or more student of a written, verbal,
or electronic expression or a physical act or
gesture or emotional harm or damage to his
property.
The school shall also educate the parents and
guardians about bullying, its effect, the anti-
bullying policies of the school. And how such
parents or guardians can provide and support in
imparting upon their assistance.

This anti-bullying act or an act requiring all


elementary and secondary schools to adopt
policies to prevent and address the acts of
bullying in their institutions was approved by our
former President Benigno S. Aquino III on
September 12, 2013.
