-first king and monarch, saul had good favor with god and the people of israel when he obeyed the lord.
-saul then spent the rest of his days being tormented by an evil spirits and try to kill david
-ruled for 40 years

2)KING DAVID

-the shephered boy who killed goliath

-a gifted, poet and harpist
-he beheld the beauty of a woman named bathsheba.
-he was 30 years old when annointed as king and died at the age of 70

3)KING SOLOMON

-noted for his being wise and fair

-he was probably the best known as the king who built the first jewish temple around 957 b.c
-solomon had an 700 egyptians wives and 300 concubines or mistresses. (1kings 11)
-solomon reigned for 40 years before dying.
