Sandy Hook Promise - “Protect Them” (Radio)

Go through a list of things common around a family home that parents keep locked up or out of
reach from children. Voiceover is a warm, motherly voice.

VO: Baking cookies with the family in the kitchen. We keep the knives out of reach. We
tell them not to touch.

VO: Finally, it's summer, the temperatures are warm and the sun is out. You keep the
pool gated and tell them never to swim alone.

VO: During the holiday season you teach them to water the christmas tree so it doesn’t
get dry and catch on fire.

VO: If you shatter a glass you clear the room and sweep up the mess to protect them
from something they may not see.

VO: You put cover on the wall outlets, bolt the furniture to the wall, cover the corners
in cushions, and catch them when they fall.

VO: But about 4.6 million american children live in a home where at least one gun is
kept loaded and unlocked.

VO: You already do so much to protect them. Visit sandyhookpromise.org
