Dear Young People,

Greetings of Peace!

The Joseph Marello Youth Council (JMYC) faithfully continues to fulfill its mission of
nurturing and strengthening the Josephite-Marellian spirituality of the JMY in parishes, schools
and communities.

This year, the Joseph Marello Youth Philippines under the guidance of the Oblates of St.
Joseph Youth Council (OSJYC) will gather for another remarkable congregational event called
Marello Cup X themed eXpress, eXcel, eXalt with scriptural passage “Remain in Me and I will
remain in you.” (John 15:4). The activities of the 10th year of Marello Cup aim to:

1. Show the importance of unity in Christ among the JMY family through reuniting the
beloved members across the Philippine Province;

2. Nurture the individual gifts by providing holistic formation through liturgical exercises,
sports, and cultural presentation in the light of Josephite-Marellian spirituality;

3. Share and celebrate the joy and fulfilment of being a JMY under the patronage of St.
Joseph with the inspiration of St. Joseph Marello; and

4. Provide livelihood trainings and literacy programs for JMY for them to be able to
contribute to the Church and to the society.

In line with this, As we come to responsibly join in this event, we would like to request for
your understanding that the student Mr./Ms._______________ joining the said event may be
given full attention of excusing him/her in the class that he/she may missed this coming Monday
October 28, 2019. The grounds of reason paramount to the travel time that may be incurred during
the travel back home. The said event is set ro commence on October 25 (Friday) – 27 (Sunday),
2019 at Holy Family Parish, Alupay, Rosario, Batangas.

Your understanding and relevant consideration in this event will be highly appreciated and
will have a great impact on your growth in this Year of the Youth. May God bless you always!
