Criterion A - Investigating
Define a clear goal and global context for the project, based on personal
interests

A. What are my personal interests? What is my idea and why did I choose it?

B. What is my goal and why is it highly challenging? (Justify it)

C. What is my chosen global context and how it is related to my idea?

(Through an exploration of…………..(fill the Global Context exploration) I will understand that…………(part
of the reason why you are doing the personal project))

D. What is my inquiry question and how is related to my global context exploration?

Identify prior learning and subject-specific knowledge relevant to the

project

Demonstrate research skills

A. What research did I conduct? From where? and what did I gain from the research?

Variety of sources: (Include 2-3 of each type)

Website Journal Magazine Interview Blog Book Others

i. Product based inquiry/research:
(research on what I am creating)

ii. Process based inquiry/research:

(research on how I should be creating my product-
the way to make my product/how
have others done similar things/what can I change and why/
what I can keep the same and why)

iii. Action research:

Validity of the research method:

(is my method a valid method/ is there a smater
or more effective way to do research)

Create a process flow- how did research influence your next steps:
(You do NOT need to make a flowchart.
Write the way one thing lead to the
next based on the research that you were doing,
use this part to show how information
from i, ii, iii got you forward, did you need to
change anything that you were
researching about or doing?)

B. Evaluation of Sources
Use CRAAP or OPVL or other such methods
to evaluate each source used by you
Criterion B- Planning

Develop criteria for the goal / outcome

Criteria table with grade level or levels of achievement (Make a rubric)

Plan and record the development process of the project

Create a complete plan with details, about what you are going to do and how you will do it, give
specific action items, not vague statements.

A. Initial Process

Divide the plan into 4 stages as per the following (add rows as per requirements, each aspect of the
project needs to be planned in details and recorded here):

Investigating- July-September
What Will I do? How will I do it? Date of completion

Planning-September- October
What Will I do? How will I do it? Date of completion
Taking Action- November- December
What Will I do? How will I do it? Date of completion

Reflecting- January
What Will I do? How will I do it? Date of completion

B. The development of the process:

What was the way in which the project progressed, did you stick to the plan? Are there changes in the
planning? Why? (This is also evidence for your self management skills)

Demonstrate self-management skills

Show how you were organized on the task. (put screen shots and reflect on their use)
 Use of long term and short term goals,
 did you use any app for setting reminders?
 Did you use any other means to keep you on track? Planner/agenda/google calendar?
 Show how you have worked regularly on the project everyday or week…(screenshot of your
blogpost/google folder/etc. that shows without doubt you are organized all through)
What actions did you take? Evidence to show that you employed self-management skills

Evidence 1

Evidence 2

Evidence 3

Evidence 4

What did you learn as an outcome of this process about self-management and affective skills?

(Did you develop a way to overcome laziness?

How did you overcome procrastination?
How did you cope with stress?
How did you cope with pressure from
other distractions?)
