The document outlines several proposals to minimize vehicular emissions and traffic in cities:
1) Reduce traffic duration by improving traffic systems to become 60-90% stopless and prohibiting heavy vehicles and right turns which increase emissions and slow traffic.
2) Remove encroachments under flyovers like stores and parking to widen spaces, and adjust road configurations like one-way lanes, merging lanes, and removing traffic signals at flyover intersections to improve flow.
3) Realign metro rail routes through dense areas to avoid traffic and touch more residential and industrial areas.

AIR POLLUTION due to the VEHICULAR EMISSIONS (Internal Combustion
Engine Exhaust Gases) can be strictly controlled by:
Minimising the Duration of GADDI on city roads: Time can be reduced by improving present Start – Stop traffic system to become STOP less by 60 – 90% on all combination of roads. Sept.2019 – HCVs not to use City Flyovers. Their Emissions rises 5X and the Traffic Speed falls 5X. Sept.2019 - Absolutely NO RIGHT TURNS – only U-Turns. This will eliminate hundreds of traffic signals for the same. Oct.2019 – Space Under Flyovers to be open full length for U-Turns and Straight passage making it 2-3 times wide. Oct.2019 – Encroachments Under Flyovers - Stores, Rooms, Shops, Parking, etc. to be removed from under the flyovers. Oct.2019 – No 2 Crossings be within 1 KM, any 1 to be made unidirectional. Oct.2019 – Road width less than 30 feet to be One Way. Nov.2019 – Lanes to be added at Merging Traffic Junctions. It will facilitate smooth flow and scrap Traffic Signals for the same. Nov.2019 – T-Point with Flyover, Traffic Signals to be removed.
Minimising Population of GADDI on city roads:
Realignment of DMRC Routes through dense population areas can avoid Traffic Jams. PINK LINE to be realigned through I.P. Extension, Patparganj, (between stations Anand Vihar – Mandawali West Vinod Nagar) touching Patparganj Industrial Area, Hasanpur Bus Depot, Madhu Vihar, Chander Vihar, Mandawali, and atleast 50% of the IPEX Societies enroute. PINK LINE to be realigned (between stations Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake - Mayur Vihar Extension) touching Trilokpuri, Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, Vasundhara Societies enroute.
