San Fernando By-Pass Road

 The street is located at the eastern part of the town of san


Fernando.
 The street leads the vehicle going to the CSI and to San Juan
town proper.

GOMEZ STREET
 The street is located in front of the City Hall.
 The street leads the vehicle going to the main entrance of San
Fernando Plaza and St. William the Hermit Cathedral Parish.
TOMB OF UNKNOWN SOLDIER

 The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a war memorial, dedicated to the


Soviet soldiers killed during World War II.
 It is located on Mustaqillik Maydoni in Tashkent, the capital of
Uzbekistan. It contains the remains of an Uzbek soldier who died in
the Battle of Moscow.
 The monument leads tourist to the “Santorini of Asia” the
Thunderbird Resort at Poro Point San Fernando City, La Union.

TOWN PLAZA
 As one of landmark of the city, the town plaza used as main locations
for activities such as dance festivals and etc.
MACHO TEMPLE
 One of the famous landmarks of the San Fernando, Mazu (Ma-zeun) is
the deified form of the medieval Fujianese teenager Lin Moniang.
 Mazuism is not formally recognized as a religion by either Mainland
China or Taiwan, but remains a popular folk belief in Fujian and on
Taiwan.
 It was built in 1977 by a group of Filipino-Chinese devotees under the
leadership of Dy Keh Hio and with the support of former Tourism
Secretary Jose D. Aspiras.
SAN FERNANDO-SAN JUAN BOUNDARY

 The San Juan-San Fernando boundary is the North Edge of the


City, the end of the city road leads vehicles to the Surfing
Capital of the North, San Juan, La Union.
 The last barangay in San Fernando is the Dalumpinas Oeste
going to Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.

SAN FERNANDO-BAUANG BOUNDARY


The Bauang-San Fernando boundary is the South Edge of the City, the
end of the city road leads vehicles to the Basket Capital of the North,
Bauang, La Union. The last barangay in San Fernando is the Pagdalagan
Sur going to Barangay Paringao, Bauang , La Union.

PAGDARAOAN-BIDAY DIVERSION ROAD


This diversion road intersects the Pagdaraoan Road and Biday Road going
to the Manna Mall and going CSI Mall La Union, its also an alternate route
going to Laoag City. The road going to right is going to Barangay Carlatan,
that leads the vehicles to the Lorma Hospital and to the one of Topnotcher
School of Architecture, the Saint Louis College.
FEAST OF ST. WILLIAM THE HERMIT
The annual fiesta celebration of the City of San Fernando La Union,
the Feast of St. William the Hermit, is held every January 22 with the Agri-
Trade fair (by the City Agriculture Office which promotes various
agricultural products of the 59 barangays of San Fernando City, divided
into 12 Districts with the 12 Councilors as collaborators). The activities
lead to the feast celebration, which is observed every February 10.

SILLAG FESTIVAL
Sillag is an Ilocano word that means “illumination from the moon.”
The two or three-day event features light-inspired activities such as a
ceremonial lighting of Sillag Village, a musical show, and lantern parade.
Several events are also organized to draw the attention of tourists and
potential investors to let the locals experience the fun of summer. The
event may include a variety of food fest, live music, children’s activities
and fireworks display that you’ll love. There will also be food, drinks, music
shows, and dance performance during the event. And to make it more
exciting, concerts of local and national bands will rock you in the evening.
