Yang left her home town in 2006 and during her years
overseas she travelled around Europe before obtaining
her bachelor degree in Media science from the
University of Marburg, Germany.
After graduating, Yang worked for a Chinese PR
company in Beijing before setting her sights again on
education, enrolling onto a Masters degree in Mass
Communication in 2011. Equipped with her Masters
she settled for another PR position in Beijing but felt that a lack of business
knowledge meant that she may not progress as fast as she wanted to.
“I was interested in finding a programme that would help me develop my
business skills further. I chose the MBA Global Business taught at the
Coventry University London Campus, located in the City of London with
fantastic business opportunities”.
Towards the end of her MBA at Coventry University London Campus, Yang
felt that with her years of experience in PR, her knowledge gained from the
MBA and the support of the University’s Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship
(IAE), that she was ready to launch her own business.
“Whilst studying, I had the chance to visit world famous companies that are
very close to the campus and I recall an exciting class tour to Bloomberg
which made me feel fully emerged in the business world and this motivated
me to start my own company. I also felt that I was fully supported by the
Coventry University London Campus team and the University’s Institute
of Applied Entrepreneurship (IAE) team to secure the Tier 1 Graduate
Entrepreneur Visa”.
Yang’s business is keeping her very busy and this often means working long
hours but she finds being an entrepreneur extremely rewarding.
