Building a strong foundation through core courses

EMBA-Global’s core courses emphasise big picture business skills. They enable students to build a strong
base of knowledge in all areas of general management and develop the leadership skills that will set
them apart throughout their careers.

EMBA-Global Asia students take most of their core courses in Hong Kong, with some sessions in London
and New York. EMBA-Global Americas and Europe students alternate between London and New York.
Students on both programmes spend blocks of approximately four consecutive days per month immersed
in studies and away from the distractions of the office. Between class weeks, students are responsible for
reading and preparation, and completing work for assessments. Students take core courses during the
first year, building the foundation for more specialised learning in the following year.
