    INTERVAL DURATION OF PROTECTION


    As early as possible in pregnancy No protection
    Td1
    At least 4 weeks after Td1  Infants born to mother is protected from
    Td2 neonatal tetanus
     1-3 years for the mother
    At least 6 months after Td2 or during  Infants born to mother is protected from
    Td3 subsequent pregnancy neonatal tetanus
     At least 5 years for the mother

    At least 1 year after Td3 or during  Infants born to mother is protected from
    Td4 subsequent pregnancy neonatal tetanus
     At least 10 years for the mother

    At least 1 year after Td4 or during  Infants born to mother is protected from
    Td5 subsequent pregnancy neonatal tetanus
     For all childbearing years and possibly longer
