Roles and Responsibilities of HMS

(Apart from already existing R&R)

As a member/part of Administration:

- HMS should be part of the Trust


- A say on extension of medical services in the hospital

Change in existing reporting:

- Patient counsellor should report to HMS


- A new role of Society representative should report to both HMS and HAS

More responsibility towards doctors and medical staff (nursing staff and paramedical staff):

- Should provide more service opportunities to doctors and medical staff


- Should take care regarding promotions and career aspirations of doctors and medical staff who
are working in the hospital for so long
- Managing records of doctors leaves and their monthly reports
- Listen to issues and complaints of doctors and medical staff and address

Hiring:

- Should ensure that recruitment be based on organizational requirement and available skill set
and not just based on motivation of incumbents

Guild lines, performance parameters:

- HMS should clearly define roles and responsibilities of doctors and medical staff after having a
discussion with management committee so that people should not get demotivated and feel
demoralized.
- Should clearly define procedures and standard parameters for each medical activities and
services
