Jenny explains how she used to celebrate Guy Fawkes with her brother when she was a little
girl.
A few days before November 5th they would make a guy. Listen to her and fill in the gaps
below.

When I was a little girl one of my favourite times of the year was

celebrate Guy Fawkes. Guy Fawkes 2)_______________________ is on the 5th of
November but a few days before my brother and I we used to make a guy. A
guy was a man that we 3)_____________________ old clothes and we stuffed the
clothes with old 4)____________________ to make like a big model of a man and
we would make a card that we used to sit in the front of the man and on the
card it said “a 5)__________________ for the guy”. Then the man, our model of
the man, our guy Fawkes, we used to put it in my 6)__________________
wheelbarrow and sit the card on top of the man and we used to go down to
the 7)____________________ shops we’d stand outside the shops and when

for the guy’ and people would give us one or two 9)_____________________, not
