Article 5 The article states four types of bullying:

- physical bullying (This is the most obvious form of bullying. In this type of bullying, the instigator attempts to
physically dominate another teen.).
- Verbal bullying (When someone verbally bullies another, he or she uses demeaning language to tear down
another’s self-image.)
- Emotional (This is even more subtle than verbal bullying. Teenage bullying that includes emotional methods aims
at getting someone else to feel isolated, alone and may even prompt depression.)
- cyberbullying (Electronic bullying is becoming a very real problem for teens. This type of bullying uses instant
messaging, cell phone text messages and online social networks to humiliate and embarrass others.)
There will be pictures in the next slides for the four stage of bullying

Article 2 In the article, we also learn that state officials have not brought any criminal charges against
anyone in the case. State authorities are or were investigating staff from the high school because they
refused to take action over domestic violence cases involving the same sex couples.

I chose this article because I wanted to give an example of how bullying can impact someone and what it
can cause them to do if bullying becomes constant.

Article 1 talks about a boy named Josh who was getting bullied and what was done to stop it. I used this article as a
source to see someone's experience with bullying.

Article 2 talks about when teasing become bullying, so it mentions that if you’re constantly being teased, it is no longer
just teasing, but it is bullying and you should try to put a stop to it.

Article 3 gives us statistics on bullying such as what percentage of kids from a certain age group have been bullied, the
article states
that 28% of kids from grades 6-12 have experienced some form of bullying.

Article 4 talks about the future negative effects bullying can have on someone, such as possible trauma or depression and
basically just lets the reader know that bullying can have a long term effect on someone.

Article 5 talks about ways you can define bullying and just goes into detail on what bullying is and how it can be prevented
and stopped.

𑂽 Ask lots of questions and more questions
- Finding a topic was a lot hard then we anticipated; our first thoughts of a topic was something with mental health in
youth more specifically depression.
- However trying to come up with a solution for depression was a harder because it was such a broad topic.
- After a whole period we come up with what leads to depression (Which can be many thing) one of them is bully. Now
for the fun part coming up with questions.
- Some of the questions we came up were.( these questions are for the expert) “Have you met someone who was a
victim of being bullied or met/talk to the bully? Why did you start an organization to help prevent bullying or the
victims and why?How can parents help with preventing bullying? How can we make the children’s environment safe
or what have you done to make it safe?”
Jose

Our challenge is still in the development stage.

Our question consists of many factors such as “Who is getting bullied?”, “Why are they getting bullied?”, and
“Where does the bullying take place?” A way to summarize these questions with one is saying “How can we help
prevent bullying in order to help reduce mental anxiety and depression, eventually preventing suicide?” which
would be our design thinking question.

Questions we asked:
What are you doing specifically to support?
How can other people contribute to make children’s environment safe?
What do you think triggers bullying?
Why did you start an organization to help prevent bullying or help the victims be safe?
Why do you think bullying is such a big issue in school aged children?
What can you do to avoid being a bystander?
