• What did I learn this week?

This week I was with my past English teacher who made an impact on my academic
standards for World History and English. During my time with him, he was teaching to his
students while I was his assistant. While I was grading some of the tests from his AP class I
would look up from time to time to see what he would be teaching. The topic he was teaching
was interesting but it wasn’t the history but how Mr. Bello interacts with learning, the passion he
gives while teaching. That is what Strive for when/if I go into teaching.
• What challenges or frustrations did I encounter this week?
Some of the challenges I faced when I was with him on Tuesday as I was grading his A.P quiz
that some of the papers didn’t have enough informant
(For the VOC words). That was something that I encounter that was a challenge for me.
• How did I use critical thinking or problem-solving to address this issue?
I would use my critical thinking skills for this issue by looking at the answer sheet for
the correct sentence or part of it. After I would that I would go back and grade them( 2 points if
they get it fully and 1 point if they get some it or something of it)
• Give examples of how you might include this on your resume or discuss in an interview
​I would include that I would be good at being an office handing paperwork such as organizing
paperwork, Grading papers.

During my second week being Mr.Bello assignment, I did the same thing I did last week
which was grading AP Pop Quiz which I don’t mind. While I was I grading his quiz’s I was also
observing Mr. Bello teach. I learn that he doesn’t have a long lecture with them just writing
non-stop but he was using different rescues such as Edgenuity and he’s blog where holds all of
his resource to success in his class. As I was fishing grading the AP Quiz which was a
vocabulary test on week eleven. I don’t know what time period they were learning but what I
saw on the test were early American and the slave route. Those terms had some much
information that I even forget those terms. However, when I read them over I started to
remember what they were.
• ​How structured/guided was my time? How effective/ineffective does that make you?
The structured of my time was effective because I have three hours with him. During my
time with him and his class, I spend almost two hours working on the AP quiz due to the fact his
AP class has 30ish scholar in his class. The amount of paperwork that a teacher has to do on a
daily basis is Astonishing. Learning about that today made me respect their grading rules.
• How did I use critical thinking or problem-solving to address this issue?
I didn’t have any issue for grading the papers, however, if I was in a position when I
didn’t have the answer sheet, I would ask for books or the resource he uses for the quiz to
finished grading the quizzes.
• Give examples of how you might include this on your resume or discuss in an interview
An example I would put that I have good communication skills when it comes to asking
for help for instructions. I would discuss in an interview saying that if I had a problem or an issue
with my job or internship, fellow co-workers that I would use my communication skills to work
out the problem.
• Your journal entries should be at least 1 paragraph.
