INQUIRY (5E) LESSON PLAN TEMPLATE

 9-10. RL. 3 Analyze how complex characters develop over the course of a text, interact with other
characters, and advance the plot or develop the theme
Objective (Explicit):
 Students will be encouraged to make reading more fun and interactive so, it doesn’t feel like a chore.
Evidence of Mastery (Measurable):
 Include a copy of the lesson assessment.
 Provide exemplar student responses with the level of detail you expect to see.
 Assign value to each portion of the response

This assignment will be measured by submissions and daily journal entries; this will end with a presentation about their character chosen.

With us being in the 21st century, technology (phones and laptops) will be used as well as social media in order to modernize literature.

The main goal is to encourage students to think deeply about characters in
books (how they develop...etc). This project and lesson will almost force
students to go in and research how their character acts throughout the book.
This will also allow students to develop how their character is on their own.
They will have to read in order to understand
Think critically about events and character development therefore,
making them read to understand. Through daily posting students will
raise questions to discuss in class or further research. By focusing on
one thing, this allows students to deep think.

Provide examples of characters. I will provide feedback everyday of what Present on their overall journey on character development. At the end of
