Objectives
Students will explore creativity through telling stories.

PROCEDURE
Introduction Time
Circle Up - Tell a story (less than 30 seconds) about something that has

happened to you today
Warm Up - Use the same warm up movements that McDonald uses 5 min
Body Time
Mill - Prompt students to mill around the room. Encourage them to find
the open spaces by explaining that there will be no elimination in
this activity.
- Announce a situation and have them stop milling to act it out (i.e.
eating a sandwich, picking up a flower, getting onto the bus,
making cookies). Take suggestions for which actions to do. 20 min
- ATOM – Prompt students to form groups of a designated size.
Emphasize that this isn’t an elimination activity. End with students
forming groups of two. Have them act out different situations
together (i.e. having a picnic, playing catch, walking a dog, getting
onto the bus)
Focus - Bring students back to sit in a circle.
Games - COUNT TO 20. Prompt students to count to 20 with only one
person saying a number at a time. Anytime two people speak at
15 min
the same time, the group starts over.
- ONE WORD AT A TIME. Prompt students to tell a story by only
saying one word at a time. Go in order, building a story together.

Old - Base on the student’s energy, choose one of the following review

Conclusion Time
Wind - Prompt students to find a space in the room to lie down. Guide
Down them through relaxation exercises. Include ambient music, if 15 min
possible.
Graveyard - Choose someone to make everyone else laugh. This person must
go around and try to make people laugh or smile, without touching

them. If someone laughs or smiles, they are the new person trying
to make people laugh.
Circle Up - Have students share what their favourite thing about drama has
