What policy/government program would you like to propose?

▪ What challenges within public governance will need to be addressed to implement the proposal
successfully?
▪ How will the youth and other marginalized groups be engaged?
▪ What partnerships would be helpful in continuous success? (NGOs, NPOs, CSOs, local/national
government, private sector, etc)

Environment plays a crucial role for our existence on the Earth. Everything we use to live a full
life comes under the environment. We just can`t live without air, water, land, sunlight, animals,
and other natural things. Environmental pollution is affecting our lives physically, emotionally,
socially, economically, and intellectually. It has become a major worldwide issue which cannot
be solved by the effort of one. We should do our best in order not to put the end to the existence
of all living things on earth. Every person on our planet should take a little step to save our
environment and maintain its originality. However, some countries and some organizations are
not accomplishing their responsibilities. As I am from Uzbekistan, I decided to write about the
policy that I want Uzbekistan Government should impose. Firstly, to give a glimpse about the
situation Uzbekistan was ranked as the 16th most polluted country in the world in 2018 with 34.3
score, with the air in 2018 was classified as “moderate”. Nevertheless, after just one year at
14:43 (local time) on March 07, 2019 Tashkent on 169 score was the most polluted city in the
world, with the air was classified as “very unhealthy( Live Air Quality City Ranking). The
reason of this notorious change was due to deforestation and building new cities.
As I was admitted to Inha university in South Korea in 2017 I have been living in Incheon for 2
years. And 06 2019 I visited my country Uzbekistan for a month. And I have seen that there has
been a catastrophic deforestation almost every region of Uzbekistan. And I came up with a
policy to change the

People are considered to be the most intelligent creatures on Earth who are able to learn new things in the
universe which can lead them to the technological advancement. It goes without saying that there are
many benefits in technological development for the economy but it also destroys our environment
gradually. We develop technologies and science to make our life better but we do not fall to thinking that
it can ruin everything that surround us in the near future. The destructive human activity cause several
adverse effects on environment. The effects of pollution are devastative. It is very important to explore
the various types of pollution and all possible ways of their prevention in order to make our planet a safe
place for the growth and development of all living things.
 Around 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their livelihood, including 70 million indigenous
people.
 Forests are home to more than 80 per cent of all terrestrial species of animals, plants and insects.
 Between 2010 and 2015, the world lost 3.3 million hectares of forest areas. Poor rural women
depend on common pool resources and are especially affected by their depletion.

Desertification

 2.6 billion people depend directly on agriculture, but 52 per cent of the land used for agriculture
is moderately or severely affected by soil degradation.
 Arable land loss is estimated at 30 to 35 times the historical rate
 Due to drought and desertification, 12 million hectares are lost each year (23 hectares per
minute). Within one year, 20 million tons of grain could have been grown.
 74 per cent of the poor are directly affected by land degradation globally.

Biodiversity

 Illicit poaching and trafficking of wildlife continues to thwart conservation efforts, with nearly
7,000 species of animals and plants reported in illegal trade involving 120 countries.
 Of the 8,300 animal breeds known, 8 per cent are extinct and 22 per cent are at risk of extinction.
 Of the over 80,000 tree species, less than 1 per cent have been studied for potential use.
 Fish provide 20 per cent of animal protein to about 3 billion people. Only ten species provide
about 30 per cent of marine capture fisheries and ten species provide about 50 per cent of
aquaculture production.
 Over 80 per cent of the human diet is provided by plants. Only three cereal crops – rice, maize
and wheat – provide 60 per cent of energy intake.
 As many as 80 per cent of people living in rural areas in developing countries rely on traditional p
lant-‐based medicines for basic healthcare.
 Micro-organisms and invertebrates are key to ecosystem services, but their contributions are still
poorly known and rarely acknowledged.
Environment plays a significant role in making our existence on the planet possible. Everything we
use to live a full life comes under the environment. We just can`t live without air, water, land,
sunlight, animals, and other natural things. Environmental pollution is affecting our lives physically,
emotionally, socially, economically, and intellectually. It has become a major worldwide issue which
