BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
- Philippians 4:13
This verse serves as an inspiration to the author for always doing his best
and not giving up in all the thorns of life. It always reminds him that no matter how
hard life is, he must not lose hope. “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know
that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”

he shows affection, care, and respect to individual differences. He is also flexible
when something isn’t working. He possesses good listening skills. He values
everything whether it be big or small because he believes that each one or
everything has its own worth. In addition, he enjoys playing PlayStation games and
loves to read fiction books. Writing short stories and poems is his pastime. He also
watches inspirational and educational videos before he goes to sleep. Aside from
that, he does not only give his time to studies but he also spends it with his family
and friends, especially with BTS.
His personal philosophy of education: he is a student-centered kind of
teacher. He believes that every student is different with own set of needs and gifts
that need to be nurtured for maximum learning. As a future teacher, he believes
that a variety of teaching strategies should be utilized to adjust to individual
differences. The students should learn from each other and learn to work together
through cooperative learning. The students should be active learners exploring
concepts through hands on learning and they should feel that learning is fun!
Lastly, the author wants to live his life extraordinarily just like how Harry
Potter gave a great impact to all the muggles. He has faith in his dreams, to fly with
all his aspirations, and keep on soaring as high as he can. He doesn’t wait for
people to be kind, he shows them how. Yes, he has flaws but he knows that every
person can overcome any shortcoming. It’s up for the person to decide what is
best for him. That’s why the author wants to live his life like Harry Potter because
he is not just a fiction character but he could live to anybody’s heart.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Completing this 17-week on the job training won’t be successful without the
individuals who kept on pushing him when he’s about to give up in this battle. Thus,
the author would like to express his endless gratitude to all of those who gave him
the possibility to complete this portfolio and finish his practice teaching.
To his sharpeners:
He wants to thank his family, who taught him how to be patient and
optimistic. If he doesn’t possess those virtues, he would have probably quitted this
course and hadn’t reach this far. Thanks to his mom for every unwavering support
and encouragement she has given to him.
To his adviser, Prof. Ayreenlee E. Resus, thank you for unending patience
and understanding. Thank you for looking over him and his classmates and guiding
them throughout their practice teaching. A bunch of appreciation for mentoring,
giving encouragement, and intellectual support for BSE-IV English Batch 2019.
He is deeply indebted to all of his English teachers and mentors in
Professional Education subjects, especially to Prof. Aida Federico and Prof. Laura
De Leon, who had endowed him with enough knowledge and wisdom that helped
him to be effective teacher. He wouldn’t have been able to finish his Practice
Teaching with flying colors without them.
To the teachers and staff of Tanza National Comprehensive High School
and to Mr. Ramon L. Rivas, Head of English Department, for the heartfelt
accommodation, generosity, and shared knowledge and wisdom during practice
teaching days.
A million of thanks is not enough for his critic teacher in Tanza National
Comprehensive High School, Ms. January Hannah P. Arañas. She had guided him
and never left him throughout the course. Truly, with her patience, understanding
and positive criticism, his student teacher became a better sharpener.
THE BSE- IV English 1819. In one way or another, they had supported him
in completing this narrative. Especially to his team, THE SUPERLATIVES: Sir
Harold Jayson Celestial, Ma’am Jhamina Joya, Ma’am Dianne Aguila, Ma’am
Cassandra Dorado, and Ma’am Eunice Flores, thank you for your positive
encouragement. Thanks for every help and support you gave him. Thank you for
making his 17-week stay in TNCHS happier, entertaining, and worthwhile. You just
don’t know how much he values your efforts. He loves you more than the most.
A special thanks to Ms. Leonora G. Rodriguez, class president, for keeping
all her classmates updated regarding important matters. Thank you for your
support, love, encouragement, companionship, and trust to all your classmates.
You really deserve to be their president.
To the Lord God whose endearing love enabled him to complete this work.
He wants to deliver his most graceful appreciations to You, the source of his
strength, wisdom, talents, and skills, his greatest provider and the best director of
his life. You are more than everything.
