Key Bible Verses:

Exodus 4:2 “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in
thine hand? And he said, A rod.”

Exodus: 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath
made man's mouth? …….. have not I the LORD?
When God Call Us To Do Something for
Him…..

What is our usual answer? Or are we too busy to

hear His call?
Moses’ 1st Argument

Verse 11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should

go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of
Israel out of Egypt?”
God’s Reply
Verse 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and
this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee:
When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt,
ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

When God calls us to do something for Him, it does

not matter who were are, what really matters is that
He will be with us.
Moses’ 2nd Argument

Verse 13 “And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I

come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto
them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you;
and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I
say unto them?”
God’s Reply
Verse 14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:
and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of
Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

It’s God saying I AM everything that you need.

Moses’ 3rd Argument

Chapter 4:1 “And Moses answered and said, But, behold,

they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for
they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.”
God’s Reply
Verse 2 “And the LORD said unto him, What is that in
thine hand? …..”

What do you have? What do I have?

Moses’ 4th Argument

Verse 10 “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I

am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast
spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of
a slow tongue.”
God’s Reply

Verse 11 “And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made
man's mouth? …..”

Verse 12 “Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth,

and teach thee what thou shalt say.”

God Himself will do the work, we are just His vessels.

Moses’ 5th Argument

Verse 13 “But he said, “O my Lord, please send by the

hand of whomever else You may send.”
God’s Reply
Verse 14 “And the anger of the LORD was kindled against
Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know
that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to
meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.”
Verse 15 “And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his
mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and
will teach you what ye shall do.

God may call somebody else but not to replace us but to

assist us.
There’s Something that We Can Do

 “We should never let what we cannot do keep us

from doing what we can do. A passive life does not
become a meaningful life.” – John Maxwell
NO LIMIT

 “There is no limit to the usefulness of one who, by

putting self aside, makes room for the working of the
Holy Spirit upon his heart and lives a life wholly
consecrated to God.” – Ellen G White
Great Things from Ordinary People

“Just because something is difficult does not mean that

God did not call us to do it. God asks big things from
ordinary people, and then He Himself provides what we
need to make them happen. God always looks for people
of faith who trusts Him in spite of complicated
circumstances so He can intervene in their favor and do
His work. God rewards collaboration, willingness to go
forward, and determination to fulfill His given tasks.” –
Jiri Moskala
Closing Bible Verse:
1 Chronicles 29:11-14 “Thine, O LORD, is the greatness,
and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:
for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is
the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above
all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest
over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine
hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now
therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious
name. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be
able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of
thee, and of thine own have we given thee. ”
