Upon taking the various assessments, I came to a realization about various aspects of my

personality, understood my overall leadership style, and thought of how I could utilize this

information for my future endeavors.

- Personality

o 4.09/5.0 grit (Grit Assessment)

 I have risen from low points in my life based on pure resolve and

persistence, which grit essentially encompasses

 My high level of grit coupled with my mixture of a fixed and growth

mindset explains many of my values as well as decisions in life.

 I tend to behave conservatively and with practicality.

Additionally, I refrain from engaging in unplanned, spontaneous

behavior. However, I am simultaneously open to learning new

things in order to improve my knowledge base and personal skills.

 Just as duality is reflected in my Mindset Assessment results, it is

also reflected when analyzing my Holland Code and

Entrepreneurial Assessment results.

o Specifically, the Holland Code describes me as an

“Enterprising Personality” while the Entrepreneurial

Assessment rates me as “heart dominant” in my decisions.

 There is duality in that I value taking initiative and

resourcefulness highly (“enterprising”) yet I also

weigh the feelings of my heart heavily as well.

 The aforementioned assessment results align quite well with my

overall Meyers Brigg personality type, ISTJ. The ISTJ places

importance on responsibility, order, predictability,

straightforwardness, and logic. They are also highly involved in

their respective organizations and systems despite their introverted

personality. After reading the description of my personality type, I

came to realize that the results from the Grit, Mindset, Holland

Code, and Entrepreneurial Assessments all reflected various

aspects of my core personality.

o Mixture of fixed and growth mindset (Mindset Assessment)

o ISTJ (Meyers Briggs Assessment)

 Responsible, value order, rarely isolated and contribute in

organizations/systems despite introverted personality, value predictability/

straightforwardness/logic

 Warren Buffet is a famous ISTJ

o Enterprising personality (Holland Code)

o Heart dominant (Entrepreneurial Assessment)

- Leadership

o Leadership type: Steward

 Ginny Rometty CEO of IBM, Mother Teresa icons

 Stewards thrive in mission related areas, develop team success, and serve

as a stabilizing force. value rules (Leadership Type Assessment)

 This description particularly resounded with me as I reflected on

my experience as a team captain for mock trial in high school. I

definitely did thrive with the larger “mission” of competition

season upon my team. I also made it a priority to build chemistry

during my time as mock trial team captain, which explains my

leadership style’s value of “team success”

 “well on way to becoming a good leader” (Leadership Assessment)

 Self confident, positive mindset, emotional intelligence, visionary,

ability to motivate people, being a good role model, managing

performance effectively

o Providing support and stimulation: could focus on

assigning tasks to employees based on areas they could

grow and are challenged.

 Democratic/participative style of leadership: trust and engagement

but difficult in high pressure and conflict

o Sometimes might need to take an autocratic approach to

avoid slowing of projects down

- Future Endeavors

o After completing the assessments, I reflected on how I could utilize the

information to succeed in my future endeavors. The long term career goal of mine

is to become a corporate attorney. I believe the feedback from my personality

related assessments justify that I have the potential to genuinely enjoy and
succeed in the legal field. Among all the aspects of my personality results, I value

order, have a high level of grit, and am open to evolving situations; I believe these

are all qualities necessary to succeed as a future lawyer. On the other hand, the

results from my leadership assessments particularly indicate to me my strengths

and weaknesses serving in a position of high influence. They allow me to guage

how I may act and how I should alter my actions when I do eventually reach the

“top of the ladder” in a corporate setting, as some might say. Currently, I can

choose to become involved in activities in college that align with my personality

and also allow me to reach a state of leadership that I can thrive in. Overall, the

assessments allowed me to further explore the deeper aspects of myself and

simultaneously envision my future.
