The Spanish Technological Platform of Packaging is constituted as a multidisciplinary forum of

scientific and technological cooperation, under the National Strategy of Science and Technology
and of the National Plan of Research, Development and Innovation, being its activity subsidized
by the Secretariat State of Research, Development and Innovation attached to the Ministry of
Economy and Competitiveness.

The Spanish Technological Platform for Packaging- PACKNET encompasses public

and private entities as well as independent professionals in the packaging sector.
The Spanish Technological Platform for
Packaging - PACKNET has been constituted
as an open forum of multidisciplinary work

counting on the support of technology
centers, research organizations, universities
and independent professionals.

application of different methodologies (roadmaps, panels of experts, etc.), are

Sustainability Working Group
PACKNET tries to offer through this Work Group a global vision of the supply chain, taking into account that the growth of the sector goes through a production
based on economic, social and environmental criteria, which at the same time incorporates an improvement of the excellence and the competitiveness of our
companies and products.

Normative Working Group

Through this Working Group, PACKNET aims to expose the latest legislative developments affecting the packaging and packaging sector from the perspective of
the multiple elements that make it up and its different applications, taking into account the fundamental role played by the container in the preservation of
quality and safety in all types of products.

Health Working Group

The scope of this Working Group encompasses the exchange of knowledge related to packaging innovation in the health and cosmetics sectors, promoting
networking among entities so that they can exhibit solutions that optimize correct handling of the various products. pharmaceuticals and cosmetics by end
users.

Biodegradable Material Working Group

The purpose of this Working Group is to exchange knowledge regarding biodegradable and compostable materials. Within them standards, applications,
identification of items and possible doubts.

Interplatform Working Groups

Spanish Technological Platform of Food - Food for Life

Its objective is to promote synergies between both sectors through the execution of joint activities, thus promoting innovation in the packaging and packaging
sector as an essential vector of the competitiveness of the food and beverage industry, and responding simultaneously to needs of society

Platform for the Sustainability of Packaging and Society

It aims to encourage collaboration in joint research projects in order to promote the process of improving sustainability, safety and functionality in the packaging
sector, trying to unite the technological nature of a Platform and the purpose of technical reference and informative of the other Platform.

Spanish Technological Platform C02

The meeting between companies, research organizations and Administration is encouraged, to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences in relation
to the Carbon Footprint with reference to the packaging sector, while at the same time identifying opportunities in new joint projects.

Spanish Technological Platform Logistop

PACKNET promotes research, development and innovation throughout the supply chain, from the origin of the product or service to its distribution in the
respective points of sale, in order to promote new techniques that support the efficiency of the processes and adapt to the challenges of today's society.

Spanish Technological Platform 3NEO

The purpose of the "Smart Packaging" Working Group is to identify needs and problems in the manipulation of "risk" packaging, in order to identify proposals
aimed at achieving specific solutions that respond to identified needs.

Interplatform Food Working Group

Its mission is to publicize the various opportunities for the introduction of technologies and new developments in the different value chains, thus generating
meeting points between the members of the various Platforms. Group formed by Food4Life, Biovegen, PTEPA, Plataforma del Vino and PACKNET.

 Interplatform Big Data Working Group

This Working Group is a multisectorial initiative to give a big demand in this field. It is an environment with huge legal and technological challenges and that
needs cooperation and networking to cover the wide range of technologies which is transversal to different sectors (packaging, energy, health…)

Interplatform CO2 Working Group

This Working Group is set up by six Spanish Technological Platforms – PACKNET, BIOPLAT, Food for Life Spain, PTE HPC, SusChem y PTECO2. The main objective
is to conceive strategies, in a global way, in order to make possible a sustainable development to a descarbonized society.

Spanish Technological Platform for Fisheries and Aquaculture – PTEPA

The exchange of knowledge between the national container and packaging industry and the fishing and aquaculture sector is enc ouraged, in order to propose a
common strategy in research, development and innovation that places the entities that make up both Platforms, in a competitive position in the market.

Spanish Interplatform Graphene Working Group. GRAFIP

PACKNET has joint an initiative launched by the State secretary to promote the research, development and innovation in the graphene field. This Working Group
will have the objective to promote the spanish activities in the graphene sector.

The Spanish Technological Platform of Packaging is immersed in a line of work
that offers innovative solutions in the accessibility of packaging for all those
groups that show a certain degree of disability.

“Package For All” objective is to identify The National Organization of the

The Spanish Bioeconomy Strategy aims to boost

economic activity, improving the competitiveness and
sustainability of the productive sectors, promoting the
development and application of technologies

The National Rural Network is a platform integrated by the

main actors of the rural environment destined to strengthen
alliances, disseminate experiences and form a common
scenario with all the actors involved in the sustainable
development of the Spanish rural environment. It is made up
of state, autonomous and local administrations, professional
organizations, environmental groups and rural development
networks, among others, representing all actors in rural
areas.

The Biological Base Industries Consortium is an international

non-profit association. The BIC covers a mixture of sectors
from agriculture to chemical products, passing through
technology suppliers. With nearly 200 members, it includes

The aim of the PACKNET Observatory is to gather all

the entities that interact with the packaging in order

WOMEN, PACKAGING AND INNOVATION

This initiative analyze the current situation of the

FAIRS AND INDUSTRY EVENTS

PACKNET participate in the most relevant national fairs and events of the packaging sector. These

HISPACK – International Fair of Packaging (Barcelona)

Packnet is member of the Organizing Committee and participates
actively through the organization of Practical Conferences whose themes
revolve around the packaging sector. More than 110 participating
companies and more than 7,800 professionals make this fair a national
and international benchmark in the packaging sector.

EMPACK (Madrid)
The Spanish Technological Platform for Packaging has
representation in this annual event held jointly with Label & Print
and Logistics in Madrid. This fair has become in recent years the
meeting point of innovation and networking for more than
7,000 professionals responsible for different areas of the supply
chains of packaging.

FORUM TRANSFIERE (Málaga)

The Transfiere Forum, European Forum for Science, Technology
and Innovation, brings together in its organizing committee the
largest national representation of agents involved in research
and development, with more than 130 public and private
entities. At Transfiere, public and private agents related to the R
& D & I ecosystem meet annually.
