Description
Managed object of NE.
A simple character string used for identifying a parameter.
Name of a parameter.
NE Type of a product displayed on the OSS. For a 3900 series base station (which is a DBS3900,
DBS3900 LampSite, BTS3900, BTS3900A, BTS3900L, BTS3900AL, or BTS3900C), the value
can be BTS3900, BTS3900 WCDMA, and BTS3900 LTE. For a 5900 series base station (which is
a DBS5900, DBS5900 LampSite, BTS5900, BTS5900A, BTS5900L or BTS5900AL), the value
can be BTS5900, BTS5900 WCDMA, and BTS5900 LTE. Among these values, BTS3900 or
BTS5900 indicates a co-MPT base station; BTS3900 WCDMA or BTS5900 WCDMA indicates a

an LTE base station.
Function of a parameter, protocol that defines the parameter, whether the parameter is an
advanced parameter.
Advanced parameters are not configured through northbound interfaces. To modify these
parameters, contact Huawei Customer Service Center for technical support.
If parameters meet one of the following conditions, they are treated as advanced parameters:
1. Parameters are temporarily introduced in a new feature or a customized feature to achieve
optimal network performance.
These parameters will have fixed values and will be deleted after the beta test or test at the
customized site.
2. Modifications to these parameters have a great impact on network KPIs or performance.
Normally, modifications of these parameters are not required for features. To achieve optimal
network performance, multiple parameters must be modified because modification of a single
parameter has little effect on the network and even may cause accidents, for example, service
interruption.

Whether the parameter is used to identify an MO instance.

Whether the parameter is mandatory for creating an MO instance.
Whether the parameter is dynamic for an MO. If the parameter is not dynamic, it can be added,
modified, or removed; if the parameter is dynamic, it cannot.
ID of the feature that uses the parameter.
Name of the feature that uses the parameter.
Type of a parameter value. For example, IP Address Type, Compound Type, Enumeration Type,
Interval Type, Bit Field Type, Character String Type, Wildcard Mask Type, Subnet Mask Type,
Password Type, Any Type, BCD Number Type, Struct.
Range of the parameter values displayed on the GUI.
Enumeration number corresponding to the GUI value of a parameter of the enumeration type, or
bit position corresponding to the GUI value of a parameter of the bit field type. N/A is filled if the
parameter value is not enumeration type or bit field type.
Note: For a parameter of the bit field type, bit position lists only the bits in use. Bits not in use are
set to 0 and not described in this document.

Unit of a parameter value displayed on the GUI.

Range of the actual values corresponding to the parameter values displayed on the GUI.
Initial value assigned by the system for a parameter. None indicates that no default value is
available.
For a mandatory parameter, no default value is available.
Generally, it is displayed on the configuration window of an ADD command but not displayed on
the configuration window of a MOD/RMV/DSP/LST/SET command.
Note:
1. If the MO of the parameter is added by the system by default, refer to the Recommended Value
column to see the parameter value.
2. For bit field type parameters, sub-parameter:On (the corresponding bit is set to 1) indicates that
the sub-parameter is selected in the check box on the configuration window. In this case, the
corresponding switch will be turned on, the corresponding object will be selected, or the
corresponding operation will be performed; sub-parameter:Off (the corresponding bit is set to 0)
indicates that the sub-parameter is deselected in the check box on the configuration window. In
this case, the corresponding switch will be turned off, the corresponding object will be deselected,
or the corresponding operation will not be performed.
Parameter values recommended for different scenarios. None indicates that no default value is
available.
Note:
For bit field type parameters, sub-parameter:On (the corresponding bit is set to 1) indicates that
the sub-parameter is selected in the check box on the configuration window. In this case, the
corresponding switch will be turned on, the corresponding object will be selected, or the
corresponding operation will be performed; sub-parameter:Off (the corresponding bit is set to 0)
indicates that the sub-parameter is deselected in the check box on the configuration window. In
this case, the corresponding switch will be turned off, the corresponding object will be deselected,
or the corresponding operation will not be performed.
Source for the initial configuration of a parameter. The initial value source can be:
Radio planning (Internal planning): The parameter value comes from the radio network plan,
facilitating resource management on the NE.
Radio planning (Negotiation with the peer): The parameter value comes from the radio network
plan. The NE negotiates this value with the peer device to ensure successful interworking.
Transport planning (Internal planning): The parameter value comes from the transport network
plan, facilitating resource management on the NE.
Transport planning (Negotiation with the peer): The parameter value comes from the transport
network plan. The NE negotiates this value with the peer device to ensure successful
interworking.
Equipment planning: The parameter value comes from the equipment plan.
Engineering design: The parameter value comes from the algorithm or function design.
Default/recommended value: The parameter value uses the default or recommended value,
where the recommended value is preferential. The default/recommended value can be used in
most scenarios and adjusted for a specific scenario.
N/A: The parameter value is not required.
Parameter impact scope.
Relationship with other parameters. For example, to use this parameter, you need to set related
switches and parameters. Parameter relationships can be Configuration constraints, Parameter
relationship with conditions, or Others.
Configuration constraints: describe the configuration constraints between parameters. Checking
the configuration validity fails if the configuration constraints are not met.
Parameter relationship with conditions: describes the branch relationship between parameters.
Parameter B can be set only when parameter A is set to a certain value.
Others: describe other types of parameter relationships, for example, parameter constraints
between functions. When parameter settings do not meet the parameter constraints between
functions, checking the configuration validity succeeds, but the configuration does not take effect.
Note: Parameter relationship with conditions is displayed on the LMT, and therefore it is not
described in MML Command Reference. Parameter relationship with conditions is provided only
in MO and Parameter Reference.

Whether a parameter has one of the following properties:

Read/Write: The parameter can be added, deleted, or modified.
Read Only: The parameter can be added or deleted only.
Whether the parameter modification interrupts the ongoing services. One of the following
comments is provided:
Yes: The modification interrupts the ongoing services.
No (And no impact on the UE in idle mode): The modification does not interrupt the ongoing
services, and has no impact on the network access of UEs in idle mode.
No (For the UE in idle mode, ...): The modification does not interrupt the ongoing services, but
affects network access of UEs in idle mode...
N/A: This comment is used when a parameter cannot be modified.

Possible interruption scope.

Possible interruption duration (unit: minute).
Cautions to be taken during the modification.
How this parameter takes effect and whether the equipment needs to be restarted after the
modification. The parameter modification does not impact the equipment means that the
parameter takes effect immediately after the modification.
Impact of the parameter on radio network performance.

Product version in which the parameter is introduced.

Whether the parameter is a radio parameter, a transport parameter, or an equipment parameter.
Indicates the mode or modes to which a parameter applies. The applicable mode can be one of,
or a combination of, the following values:
G: This parameter applies to GSM.
U: This parameter applies to UMTS.
L: This parameter applies to LTE.
R: This parameter applies to the radio frequency access (RFA) application. The RFA application is
used only in the LampSite solution, and supports only co-MPT base stations. It performs remote
transmission and amplification of RF signals, and complies with the 3GPP repeater radio
transmission and reception protocol (GSM: 3GPP TS 51.026, UMTS: 3GPP TS 25.106, and LTE:
3GPP TS 36.106).
If a parameter applies to more than one mode, the values are separated by commas. For
example, the value "G,U" indicates that a parameter applies to GSM and UMTS.
When configuring parameter settings for a given mode, only those parameters that apply to that
mode will affect the system. Configuring a parameter that does not apply to that mode has no
effect, even if configuration is successful.
