Who celebrates the liturgy? I will define first the liturgy. So, what is
liturgy? Liturgy is a form or formulary according to which public religious
worship, especially Christian worship is conducted. The liturgy is a
celebration of all the faithful. In other words, it is the celebration of our life
with Christ and it is the celebration of meeting Christ.
Then we go back to the first question, who celebrates the liturgy? The
one who celebrates the liturgy is Priest. The answer given by Catechism of the
Catholic Church is very clear. It is the whole community, the boy of Christ
united with its head that celebrates. For me, when there is an occasion in my
life like birthday party I am very excited because I have the opportunity to
invite my classmates and friends. Sometimes we became busy when preparing
because we want this occasion become memorable and success. When the
celebration is ongoing we are fully awake to entertain them because we want
our visitors enjoy the party. Also, we should thank them for coming and when
the party is over we should send them a happiness. In the church, I often go to
church twice or thrice a month. Sometimes when I’m in the church I'm not
listening to the priest because sometimes it's boring to hear. Also, I do not
respond when the priest greet us because i feel sleepy sometimes. I feel sleepy
when the homily is started I don't know the reason why. Sometimes I do not
sing with the choir because I didn't know the lyrics. At the end of the mass I
barely smile to my adjoining and also i feel the presence of God, the father.
