Position Description:

The College of Pharmacy at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center
invites applications for a full-time 12-month tenure track faculty position in the
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Assistant Professor rank. The
successful candidate will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research
program and provide instruction to undergraduate (B.S.), professional (Pharm.D.)
and graduate students (M.S., Ph.D.).

Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. or equivalent in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology,


Toxicology, or a closely related discipline in biomedical or health sciences, a record of
research productivity demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications, and current
authorization to work in the U.S. Preference will be given to applicants with evidence
of an innovative research focus that builds on current programmatic strengths,
particularly in the area of environmental health sciences/toxicology, drug delivery, or
cancer; experience teaching and mentoring in a relevant academic environment;
experience with extramural grant applications; strong record of publications; and
evidence of leadership.
