Good morning, today I’d like to talk about one of the most popular Netflix’s TV shows and why
it’s so special to me. I’m sure that many of you have seen it, but if you haven´t maybe after this
presentation you will do it.

This show is called Stranger Things. Stanger Things is an American science fiction horror TV
show based in the 80s created by the Duffer Brothers

In my presentation, first I’m going to talk about the plot of each one of the seasons and then I
will say the reasons why I love this TV show.

Stranger Things has three seasons and now are waiting for the fourth that will come out
approximately in October 2020.

The first season came out in 2016. The story set in a fictional town in Indiana called Hawkins, in
1983. In this season the characters are presented. There is a group of 12 year old kids and
close friends from Hawkins. They like playing roll games and discovering mysteries. They are
Mike, Will, Dustin and Lucas.

One day something strange happen: There is a National Laboratory in Hawkins were scientifics
open a rift to the "Upside Down", an alternate dimension. A monster from the Upside Down
escapes and abducts Will and teenage girl called Barbara. Then start an investigation for the
disappearance of both kids. At the same time, a girl called Eleven who has psychokinetic
abilities, escapes from the laboratory and help Will's friends, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas, to find
Will.

In the second season new characters are introduced: Max and her older step-brother Billy and
a girl named Kali connected to Eleven an the Hawkins Laboratory.

It's 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the
Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside
Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived

The third season take place a few years after, in the summer of 1985. and focuses on "forces of
evil that are new."[6]

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up. School's out, there’s a brand new mall
in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and
complicates the group’s dynamic, and they'll have to figure out how to grow up without
growing apart.
Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and
her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to
survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.

For me, once I started this TV show, I couldn’t stop watching episode after episode.

Stranger Things has turned into one of my favourites shows. So, there are a lot of reasons why
I love it. One reason is because I think it has the perfect combination of suspense, fiction,
humour and also a bit of romance. Other reason is that the characters are not flat, I mean,
they aren’t simple. You can see the growing up of the characters along the seasons and their
evolutions as people. This make the story much more real and you feel identify with the
characters. But the main reason why I absolutely love Stranger Thinks is the 80’s style. I don’t
know about you, but I personally think that I belong to the 80s. They were so cool! The
oversized and colourful outfits, the funky hairstyles and of course, the amazing music. Is there
anything better? These are some songs that appear in the show and that transport you to the
80s. I’m in love with them.

In conclusion, if you like mysteries, supernatural forces and other dimensions…, and you
haven’t seen Stranger Things yet, you should definitely watch it. That brings me to the end of
my presentation. Thank you for your attention!
