Pin used in conjunction with the adapter cover on the Modulock Bucket System.

Number of pins used with the adapter cover on the Modulok Bucket System.

Adapter Cover - Qty


Number of adapter covers required with the Modulok Bucket System.

Adapter Cover Retainer Assembly


Used in conjunction with the pin for attachment of the adapter cover to the Modulok System.

Number of retainer assemblies necessary for attachment of the adapter cover.

Adapter Family
The ‘family’ of which the adapter is associated with. This association is used to match adapters
with other components for compatibility. Possible values: J, V, C, Series 23.

Adapter Hardware – Qty


A numeric value denoting the quantity of hardware needed for adapter attachment. Hardware is
inclusive of nuts, bolts, washers. This value is used in lieu of individual quantities when the
hardware amounts are the same amounts for all. Ie: 10 bolts, 10 washers, 10 nuts = hdwe-qty 10.

Adapter Location
Directional reference to where the adapter will be used. Possible Values: Center, Left-Hand, Right-
Hand, Corner and Intermediate.

Adapter Nose
Weld-on replacement for a portion of a broken adapter.

Adapter Notes
A reference number that can be matched to a database which contains a descriptive notation to a
specific adapter part number. Ie: ADPTR-NOTE – 100, 100: This part number should only be
used in extreme digging conditions.

Adapter Nuts
Nut used in association with bolt for attachment of adapter.

Adapter Nuts - Qty


Number of nuts used to attach adapter to base edge.

Adapters per Edge


Indicates the number of adapters already welded to a Type 2 edge assembly.

Adapters required per Moldboard Length


Adapters required based on the length of the moldboard.

Adapter Type
Describes in what manner the adapter is attached to the base edge. Possible Values: Bolt-on,
Bottom-Strap, Flushmount, ARM, HD ARM, Heavy Duty, Intermediate, Size-up, Two-Strap, Weld-
on, 1-Bolt, 2-Bolt (and any combination thereof).

Adapter Type Description


The long description of adapters in association with dimensional data. Possible values are:
Standard Two-Strap, Heavy Duty Two-Strap, Heavy Duty Long Life, Flushmount, Bottom Strap,
Corner Guard System One-Bolt, Corner Guard System Two-Bolt, Unitooth One-Bolt, Unitooth

Washer used to attached adapter to base edge.

Describes the type of adapter wedge available. Possible Values: O.S. Large, O.S. Medium,
Standard.

Application
Recommended used of paving product tools.

ARM Indicator
Indicator of whether the adapter is composed of abrasion resistant materials.

Asphalt Paver Model


The associated model of the asphalt paver as it relates to the fastening hardware.

The type of holder used in the combi rotor assembly. Possible values: Ring, Rotor.

The flighting, bit, and holder assembled for use in the paving products combi rotor.

The number of assemblies used on the combi rotor.

Assembly Ring Location


Location of the paving products ring assembly. Possible values: Left-Hand, Right-Hand.

Assembly Type
Type of paving products assembly. Possible values: Ring, Rotor.

Blade
Used for attachment to various paving products and compactors, inclusive of windrow elevator
blades.

Blade Bolt
Bolt used to attach the cutting edge to the blade.

Blade Bolt Type


The type of bolt used in attachment of cutting edge to the blade. Possible values: Bolt, Plowbolt.

Blade Capscrew
Capscrew used to attach the cutting edge to the blade.

Blade Cutter Length


Cutter length of the blade used in the PR-100C and PR-450 Paving Products. Length values in
millimeter.

Blade Mount Location


Location of where the blade is attached to the paving product. Possible values: Left, Right, Center.

Blade Model
One of a variety of paving products and compactor blades available.

Blade Note
A numeric cross-reference of detailed information or instructions which can be obtained from the
NOTES database.

Blade Nut
Nut used to attach the cutting edge to the blade.

Blade - Quantity
Number of blades required for attachment to the paving product.

Blade Type Description


The character denotation of the blade type for dozer cutting edges. Possible values: FD (Finish
Dozing), EWL (Extended Wear Life), GD (General Duty).

Bolt Hole Location A
The distance between top of end bit and center of first outside bolt hole on cutting edge side, with
the exception of Type 1F in which it designates the distance between top of end bit and center of
first bolt hole.

Bolt Hole Location B


Distance between center of top outside bolt hole and center of bottom outside bolt hole, with the
exception of Type 1F in which it designates the distance between edge of end bit and center of first
bolt hole on right side of end bit.

Bolt Hole Location C


Distance between edge of end bit and center of first top bolt hole on cutting edge side of end bit,
with the exception of Type 1F in which it designates the distance between center of first and second
bolt hole on right side of end bit.

Bolt Hole Location D


Distance between the center of the 1st and 2nd bolt holes on the top row of bolt holes of the end bit,
with the exception of Type 1F in which it designates the distance from center of 2nd to 3rd bolt
holes on the end bit (counting right to left).

Bolt Hole Location E


Distance between the center of the 2nd and 3rd bolt holes on the top row of bolt holes on the end
bit, except Type 1F in which it designates the distance between the center of the 3rd and 4th bolt
holes on the end bit (counting right to left).

Bolt Hole Location F


Type 1F: distance between 4th and 5th holes (counting right to left). Type 4E: distance from edge
to center of 1st bottom bolt hole on cutting edge side. Type 5: width or distance of the outside
lower angled projection below the cutting edge.

Bolt Hole Location G


Type 1F: distance between 5th & 6th holes (from right to left). Type 2,3, & 5: distance from edge on
cutting edge side to 1st bottom bolt hole. Type 4: distance from center of 1st & 2nd holes on
bottom row on cutting edge side.

Bolt Hole Location H


Type 2, 3, & 5: distance from center of 1st & 2nd bolt holes on bottom row on cutting edge side.
Type 4E: distance between the center of 2nd & 3rd bolt holes on bottom row on the cutting edge
side.

Bolt Hole Location I


On Type 2G, Type 3, and Type 5 end bits, it is the distance between the center of the second and
third bolt holes on the bottom row of bolt holes starting from the cutting edge side.

values: Reach, Mass, GP, VA, Offset, Standard.

Boom Compatability
Type of boom the stick will fit on. Possible values: Reach, Mass Excavation, or Variable Geometry.

Boom Type
Type of boom associated with the shear model.
Possible values: Stick Mounted/Reach Boom AND Reach Boom/Mounted.

Bottom Wear Strip


Strip of metal welded to various areas of an excavator bucket to provide additional wear material.

Bottom Wear Strip - Qty


Number of wear strips needed for attachment to the excavator bucket.

Bottom Wear Strip Type


Type of wear strip needed dependent on the location it will be attached to the excavator bucket.
Possible values: Front/Flat or Rear/Shaped.

Bowl Assembly
The internal (rounded portion) of the mult-purpose type buckets and various shovels.

Bucket Arrangement
The complete bucket along with additional attachments needed to operate properly on individual
machines.

Bucket Assembly
Consists of the individual piece parts and subassemblies that are welded together, including the

Bucket Capacity
Rated amount of material the bucket can hold in cubic meters or cubic yards.

Bucket Corner
Weld on piece that is perpendicular to the base edge, and protects the bucket corner as viewed from
the operator's position.

Bucket Corner - Quantity


Number of corners required for protection of the bucket.

Bucket Description
Description of the bucket usage. Values are: High Density, Rock, High Abrasion, Low Density,
Coal, General Purpose, High Density Special, and Abrasion.

Bucket Edge Description


Describes the edge type for various buckets assemblies. Possible values: Spade, Straight, Step
Spade, Straight H/L, GP, FMT, CGS, Rock.

Bucket Family Compatability


Classification for the bucket linkage. All buckets in a family have the same linkage and fit the same
sticks.

Bucket Group
Consists of the bucket assembly and the adjuster group.

Bucket Type
Describes the bucket. Usually related to the use of the bucket. Trenching, Rock, Heavy Duty Rock,
General Purpose, Excavating, etc.

Bucket Width
Measurement of the bucket taken from the left-most point to the right-most point across the
opening.

Capscrew
Capscrew used to attach elevator blade.

Capscrew - Quantity
Number of capscrews used to attach elevator blade

Caterpillar Identification Number


A 20 position unique identifier for a part number. Format = XXXXXXXBBBBBBBBBBBBB.
XXXXXXX = Standard CAT part number, the remaining 13 bytes will be used for non-Caterpillar
parts.

C-Clamp Assembly
C-shaped piece used with the wedge to attach adapter on Mechanically Attached adapter System.

Assembly used in association with earthmoving and landfill compactor products.

Cleaner Bar - Location


Location where the cleaner bar is attached to the compactor product. Possible values: Front or
Rear.

The pin which is used with the rock tamping replacable tip on the earthmoving/landfill cleaner bars.

The 5 or 6 digit model number associated with compactor type. Models prefix with CB-, CP- or

Used in association with a spring assembly and snap ring for attachment of compactor feet.

Number of pins necessary for compactor feet attachment.

Compactor Type
Long description of the compactor type available:
Possible values: Asphalt (Double Drum), Soil (Padded Drum), Soil (Smooth Drum), Pheumatic Tire

Component Width
The width of the excavator bucket components. Listed in millimeters.

Compression Retainer
Retainer used in association with the Mechanically Attached Wear Plate System.

Corner - Right Hand


The right end of the bucket assembly.

Curved Edge – Length


The length stated in millimeters of the motor grader curved edge.

Curved Edge – Width


The wide of the motor grader curved edge stated in millimeters.

Curved Edge – Thick


The thickness of the motor grader curved edge stated in millimeters.

Curved Edge Steel Type


The type of steel used in the manufacture of the curved motor grader edge. Possible values: High-
Carbon, DH-2.

Curved Edge Bolt (16mm)


The part number associated with the 16mm (5/8”) bolt used for attachment of the curved edge.
