Project Details :

• Mustoh Cement to set up cement plant.

• Mustoh Cement is planning to set up an Integrated Cement Plant (2.0 MTPA) and 25 MW Captive Power Plant at Mustoh in
Laithynsew in East Khasi Hills in Meghalaya
• The project is estimated to cost Rs.1,0110 million
• As of February 2011, Ministry of Environment and Forests has directed the company to prepare a detailed Environmental Man-
agement Plan / Environment Impact Assessment Report and submit the same to the state pollution control authorities for con-
ducting public hearing.

Government of India Plans PCPIR in Cuddalore

Project Details :

• Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers has shown progress on its plans to set up its fifth Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemical
Investment Region (PCPIR) in in Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu.
• PCPIR is an investment region with an area of around 250 square kilometres planned for the establishment of manufacturing
facilities for domestic and export-led production in petroleum, chemicals & petrochemicals, along with the associated services
and infrastructure.
• The proposed PCPIR would be a combination of production units, public utilities, logistics, environmental protection mecha-
nisms, residential areas and administrative services. There will be a processing area, where the manufacturing facilities, along
with associated logistics and other services, and required infrastructure will be located, and a non-processing area to include
residential, commercial and other social and institutional infrastructure.
• As of January 2011, the project is still in the conceptual stage.
• Union Ministry is likely to give its final approval in the next 2 to 3 months.
