Glossary
Ø  Team Unify (TU) - The web based plaborm that all teams are now using that houses both Swim Office
and Touch Pad func$ons
Ø  Swim Office - The website side of Team Unify. Athlete commitment, Event selec$on, Meet Results, and
other items such as news, team events, and job sign ups will occur in Swim Office.
Ø  Touch Pad (TP) - The Meet So\ware that interfaces with your Swim Office site. This is the program that
we will use to run our dual/tri meets
Ø  Syncing- This allows TP to connect and talk to your Swim Office site. You need wifi connec$on to “sync.”

Pre-Meet Planning
TIMING IS KEY – PAY ATTENTION TO DEADLINES
Ø  Get contact info of opposing team’s stats person and make contact in advance of meet
Ø  Thursday noon – Coaches finish entries
Ø  Thursday – 7pm – Visi$ng team sends entries(SD3 export) to home team
Ø  Friday – noon – Home team sends Meet Backup File to Visi$ng Team
Ø  Visi$ng Team Receives/Imports File - Swimmer cards and Entry reports can be
Ø  ALL LABELS/REPORTS ARE RUN IN TP

Ge/ng Entries from Swim Office(SO) To Touch Pad(TP)

IMPORTANT
The next steps are different for HOME TEAM or AWAY TEAM
Ø HOME TEAM: You will SYNC your entries in the next step to your Touchpad


Ø AWAY TEAM: You will EXPORT an SD3 File and send to HOME TEAM by pre-
determined deadline

In CommiFed Athletes Tab >Export>TouchPad Sync>OK>Sync TouchPad Entries NOW

Ø  Syncing Entries to TouchPad:

Generate Entries File>OK>Save Standard SD3 File

Click on Save Standard SD3 File


File will download (specify where on computer so you can send)
Send File to Home Team Stats Contact and confirm receipt

Seeding the Meet in TP
IMPORTANT
Ø  Check # of Lanes – File Edit Meet Setup –
Number of Pool Lanes for home team
must be correct!
Ø  Heats Fast to Slow - Events Tab> Heat
ORDER FINALS> FAST to SLOW Seeding
F>S > CLICK ALL> yes

Sending Backup to VisiDng Team

Ø  Home Team - Check Seeding was done correctly before sending MEET BACK UP by running or spot checking

SENDING BACKUP of MEET for VisiUng Team Seeding and Meet Reports
Ø  File> BACKUP Current Meet OR from TP Home Page below Number of Teams> Backup Current Meet
Ø  Save Meet to computer and send to Visi$ng Team
RECEIVING BACKUP of MEET from Home Team
Ø  Open Email from Home Team and save file to Team Computer
Ø  FILE> RESTORE A MEET BACKUP
Ø  Locate the File on your computer and Click Open> Restore This File

Adding/Moving/Removing Athletes AFTER Seeding
Can only be done pre-meet by Home Team (on Home Team Computer) – Home and VisiDng Team MUST have a copy of
team roster with them at meets to accurately insert athletes names as registered

Ø  Click on Enter Results Tab


Ø  Go to Event #
Ø  Find Empty Lane or Add Heat (if adding heat,
be sure to select Lane 1-6 or 1-8, not lane 0)

Moving Athlete Heat/Lane

Ø To move an athlete to another heat you can drag, drop that athlete into different
heat
Ø This can be done before the meet to avoid a swimmer in a heat by
themselves
Ø This can be done a\er the event if swimmer was moved or put in different
heat/lane by ready bench
Ø Click on Enter Results, find desired event, find athlete, drag/drop them to correct
heat/lane

Ø  Select Event Entering Meet Results
Ø  Enter $mes (just numbers)

Ø  DQ’s – Enter DQ’s for 9-10 year olds and
older for ALL MEETS
Ø  DQ requires a reason code – SELECT
19C(3K) OTHER AS A PLACE HOLDER
Ø  If DQ, enter in DQ column (NEVER
FOR SOFT DQ’S)
Ø  So\ DQ’S are 1ST 4 meets for 5-6 yr
olds and 1st 2 meets for 7-8 yr olds

Scoring the Meet (All Teams must score meet now for par3cipa3on ribbon labels to run)
Ø  Home Team Sets up Scoring as follows:
Ø  Individual Scoring:
Ø  5 pts (1st), 3 (2nd), 2 (3rd), 1 (4th)
Ø  Each team receives points for a
maximum of 2 places (turn on
Restricted Scoring-see below)
Ø  Relay Scoring
Ø  7 pts (1st), 4 (2nd), 3 (3rd)
Ø  Each team can only score once
(Restricted Scoring)
Ø  Turning On Restricted Scoring (limits # of
individual places a team can score to 2
and relays to 1)
Ø  Scoring
Ø  Click Move Up Points and Places
Ø  Enter 2 - # of Indiv. Per team may
score?
Ø  Enter 1 - # of Relays per team may

Ø  Select Team or Individual (top middle)
then Click on Score/Preview/Print for

Sending Backup File – RESULTS / Syncing (Releasing) Meet Results
Ø  End of Meet – Visi$ng Team takes backup of meet on USB or sends via email (need wifi
connec$on/hotspot) : Suggest each team bring a USB device
Ø  Visi$ng Team will import backup and now can run results reports/ribbon labels
Ø  Correc$ons to swimmer $mes/placements should be done in TP prior to running labels or
reports
HOME TEAM RELEASES/SYNCS RESULTS
Ø  Correc$ons to swimmer $mes/placements can be done in TP prior to running labels,
reports or releasing results
Ø  File>Sync Now To SwimOffice (this gets results from TP to your SwimOffice Site)
Ø  Home Team SUPERUSER must MANUALLY release results from SwimOffice site to visi$ng
team(s)
Ø  Log into Swim Office Site
Ø  Click on the Meet Name in Current/Upcoming Meets
Ø  Click Release Touchpad Official Times (Super User Only)
Ø  Type in YES and Release Results Now
Ø  To View Results go to My Account> My Meet Results> Results by Meet
Ø  Let Visi$ng Team know results are viewable and ready

Making CorrecDons to Times/Placements A[er the Meet


Ø  Home team - in Touchpad (before Syncing back to home team SwimOffice)
Ø  Edit results/$mes in Enter Results tab
Ø  Re-sync to SwimOffice
Ø  Visi$ng Team – if changes are made in TP to run results reports/labels, you will ALSO
need to edit again in SwimOffice once results are released/synced from home team
(results will not show up in SwimOffice un$l home team releases them)
Ø  In SwimOffice
Ø  Go to My Account > My Meet Results > Results By Meets
Ø  Click the desired meet
Ø  Search for a specific swimmer
Ø  Click the Edit link to the right of the $me you want to change
Ø  Make the desired changes and click Submit

Meet Results Tab (visi$ng team must RESTORE backup to
Touchpad before running reports and labels)
Running Results by Event- Single Team
Ø  Choose A Team
Ø  Edit filters (chose to show points or not, etc.)
Ø  Print Preview

Running Results by Swimmer – Detailed Team Summary
Ø  User Defined Session must be NO SESSION USED
Ø  Edit Filters (show points, show seed $me, etc.)
Ø  Print/Preview

Ø  In Swim Office – Go to My Meet Results, Results by
Meet>Click on desired Meet> Make sure Standard is
showing: [IR] 2017: ISL Champs Standard
Ø  Run Report a\er setng desired filters

PLACEMENT RIBBON LABELS


Ø  Meet Results> Awards (yellow buMon)> Select Team
Ø  Double check Places for Individuals – 6 - Double check Places for Relays – 3
Ø  Enter Start and End Event # (you can do a few events at a $me or whole meet)
Ø  Click Labels in Finish Order
Ø  Mark Personal Best is clicked – this will show an * next to any $me that is a BEST $me
Ø  Preview First, then Print
PARTICIPATION RIBBON LABELS (meet must be scored to run ParUcipaUon Ribbons)
Ø  Click Labels for ParUcipaUon
Ø  Preview, then Print
TIME IMPROVEMENT/PERSONAL BEST RIBBON LABELS
Ø  Click Labels for Personal Best
Ø  Choose to include a NT seed $me for Best Times
Ø  Ribbon labels do not show $me improvement but rather BEST TIME (TU is working on this for us)
