REFLECTION

I have always needed to improve. I have the tendency to be very nervous while
speaking in front of a group. After learning new techniques to improve public
speaking, I have seen a significant improvement in my public speaking. Even
though many of my skills have improved, there is still improvement that can be
made with my speaking.

REFLECTION

My participation in at the moment in this course that be focus on Business has substantially
strengthened my writing skills. Because this class is centered around communicating in a
business setting, I learned that I had to adjust my writing to adapt to the manner in which
business people communicate.

Due to the fast pace of business and the philosophy that “time is money,” I have adjusted my
writing so that it is more succinct. In order to accomplish this, I have been extra aware of filler
words and unnecessary language that I might be inclined to include before learning the
importance of being concise. This different style of writing has also led me to carefully select
my words and make sure they add value to the message I am trying to convey.
