AAROGYASRI HEALTH CARE TRUST
CONSOLIDATED REPORT 2016-17
Chief Executive Officer. Thus the Trust, in consultation with the specialists in the field of
insurance and healthcare, runs the scheme.
Aarogyasri-1 was administered through an ‘Insurer’ initially, whereas the remaining three
schemes AS-2, CMCO, and Journalists Schemes were administered by Trust. However, the policy
periods of all the five phases of Aarogyasri-1, which were being implemented through an ‘Insurer’,
came to a closure by 16-07-2012. Since then Aarogyasri-I is also being administered by the Trust
itself, in addition to Aarogyasri-II, CMCO and Journalist Schemes with effect from 17-07-2012.
In G.O.Ms.No.94, HM&FW (M2) Dept., dated: 23-05-2014orders were issued ratifying the action
of the Chief Executive Officer, Aarogyasri Health Care Trust in having run the Scheme in ‘Trust
Mode’ after expiry of the policy periods and also permitted the Trust to run the Scheme in ‘Trust
Mode’ until further orders.
The Scheme is designed in such a way that the benefit in the primary care is addressed
through free screening and outpatient consultation both in the health camps and in the network
hospitals as part of scheme implementation. The IEC activity during the health camps, screening,
counselling and treatment of common ailments in the health camps and out-patient services in
network hospitals is supplementing the government health care system in preventive and primary
care.
The entire process from the time of conduct of health camps to the screening, diagnosing ,
treatment, follow- up and claim payment is made transparent through online web based processing
to prevent any misuse and fraud. The scheme is complimentary to facilities available in
government hospitals and put together fully meets the medical requirements of BPL population
including prevention and primary care. All the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) which are the first
contact point, Area/District Hospitals and Network Hospitals, are provided with Help Desks
manned by AAROGYA MITHRAs to facilitate the illiterate patients.
