Q 1. Find the terminal impedance of an infinitesimally thin λ/2 slot antenna when the impedance
of infinitesimally thin λ/2 dipole antenna is 73+j42.5 ohms.

Q 2. Find the terminal resistance of complementary slot for a cylindrical dipole with length to
diameter ratio of 28 and length of 0.925λ having terminal impedance of (710 + j.0) ohms.

Q 3. Determine the gain, beamwidth and capture area for a parabolic antenna with 10m diameter
dish and dipole feed at 10GHz.

Q 4. width at
1.2GHz. How this reflector antenna can be made?

Q 5. With the test antenna connected, the detector output meter is adjusted to read full scale or
zero dB. Now with the standard calibrated antenna connected, the output is down 7dB, if
the gain of calibrated standard antenna is 15dB. Calculate the gain of the antenna under
test.

Q 6. While measuring the gain of a horn antenna, the gain oscillator was set for 9 GHz
frequency and the attenuation inserted was found to be 9.8dB. Calculate the gain of the
horn. The distance between the two horn antennas was 35cm.
