EDT 180: Inquiry Module Reflection

1. Peer Feedback on Project

For the research process of the different types of technology, I was able to group

up with two people and we were able to share our thoughts and findings. Throughout the

peer feedback, we basically looked over each other’s template for any basic errors like

grammar, sentence structuring, and organization. Since we had the same information

overall, it was easier to point our any errors or things that didn’t fit in with the project

requirements.

Some of the feedback I received was to go more in depth with some of the

research findings. I then decided to watch more videos and include examples of how the

different types of technology could be useful, specifically in a classroom environment.

Aside from the improvements, I was told that there were no grammatical errors in the

template, so I was able to get the editing out of the way. After all, I ended up including

more information on the different types of technology and pros and cons about them. I

feel as the descriptions were more specific and clear while my group members went

through the template afterwards.

2. Implementation of feedback:

After the feedback, I went on to further investigate and explore AI, IOT, and XR.

I was able to include specific uses, pros and cons, examples, etc. Additionally, I added

more examples of how the different types of technologies could be utilized in a classroom

setting to provide more ideas and clarity of each one.

3. Learning Reflection:

When looking back over my project and feedback, I was able to learn quite a few

things about the process of revision and iteration. For example, I gained more knowledge in

giving appropriate feedback. I was able to give more suggestions that actually helped my

peers and specified what and how to fix any errors. If I were to start this project again, one

thing I would keep the same is sharing my research with other peers to come to a general

conclusion and give each other feedback before an official writing assignment. Something I

would change is the research process; I would have preferred getting a hands on experience

to gain a better understanding and to be more elaborative throughout the project.

4. Alternative Use/ Future Directions:

The technology I focused on for my project might be used in classroom setting for

better communication, less face-to-face interactions, hands on experiences, etc. I had not

considered these things before going on with the research, I had thought about more basic

concepts like grading and turning in assignments. Some real use cases of the technology that

we haven’t considered are ways to communicate for English Language Learners, ways to not

have to meet up with a teacher, ways to learn faster, etc.
