I think one of the biggest ways I plan to integrate my faith into teaching is the way I treat

and think of my students. The bible teaches that everyone is made in the image of God, imago

dei. This is the way I intend to view my students. Even if they think, act, or speak different than I

do, I need to love them the way Christ teaches us to. I want my students to know that they are

cared for and valued. They should walk into my classroom knowing that it is a safe and

welcoming space for them.

Another way I want to integrate my faith is to think about how to do this in a public school

setting. One of the obstacles of being in a public school is that I can’t openly talk about Christ.

Although, by acting in a forgiving, accepting, and flexible way I will set myself apart from others.

I want to reflect Jesus on to those around me without necessarily talking about Him. In addition

to this, I want the way I speak about and to others to be kind and honest. I want others to see

the kindness of Jesus through who I am when I am at my school. Overall, I think the best way to

integrate my faith into my school is to show Jesus to those around me through who I am. This

will help others to see me and more importantly the love of Christ.
