CONTENT STANDARD The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and other
text types serve as means of connecting the world; also how to use ways of analysing
one-act play and different forms of verbal for him/her to skilfully perform in a one-act
play.
PERFORMANCE The learner skilfully performs in one-act play through utilizing effective verbal and
STANDARD nonverbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice,
Delivery, and Dramatic Conventions
I. LEARNING Knowledge Interpret the message conveyed in a poster;
OBJECTIVES Skills Write the different advocacies of the emulating accomplished
people mentioned in the discussion;
Attitude Acclaim the idea that everyone can be extraordinary person.

B. Activity Present to the class a poster and let the student evaluate its message.
(5 minutes)
 What is in the poster that would make you accept the invitation to join the
organization?

Introduce the other way on how to promote advocacies. Let the students identify its
use.

 Why do you use a computer? Why do you create a facebook account?


 Give other examples of the latest gadgets for messaging?

C. Analysis Some people do ordinary things that produce amazing results, making the different
(10 minutes) from the rest. One of them is Bill Gates whose curiosity led to a revolutionized
information technology.

Now, let us be familiarized with the emulating accomplished people to their


advocacies, their contributions on different field and the qualities that make them
extraordinary.

 What qualities make these people extraordinary?


 What impact have the made on the people around them/
 Simple like Arnel Pineda, EfrenPenaflorida and Ghalib Khalil have become
extraordinary. Does it mean you can also be an extraordinary person? Explain.
D. Abstraction
(5 minutes) Each one of us can also be an extraordinary person no matter how small or big you
are, rich or poor, as long as you have advocacy, do it and make a good impact on the
life of others.

Point out their (students) advocacies in life that created impact in the other people’s
lives.

E. Application
(8 minutes) Group Activity.
The class will be group into five. Each group will think a people in the community who
made an impact or influence in their lives. Representative will share it to the class.

IV. ASSESSMENT /
EVALUATION Write a short essay about a relative who made an impact in your life?
(10 minutes)
V. ASSIGNMENT / Read the story “For Conversation, Press #1” page 265.
