and what they see it as. After I will explain that white privilege is the
adherent advantages that white people possess in society. N/A 1 min

Participatory Activity:
The students will watch Connor’s video from the website in the resources
section. After they watch this video I will give them some time to discuss
in their groups of 3-5 what they saw in the video and how it made them
feel. Next, we will discuss these three questions out loud together. What
privileges does Connor talk about having because of his skin colour? If
Connor was a person of colour, how could his life be altered? How might
people perceive him differently? Why is Connor just now realizing how http://www.whitenesspr
lucky he is to have a relatively spotless record? What does this tell us oject.org/millennials
about the importance of talking about whiteness among others and
ourselves? 9 mins
Post-Assessment:
We will discuss the predominant question of how Connors answers in the
video could have been different if he had of talked about the privilege of
being white since he was younger. N/A 4 mins
Summary:
I will ask if anyone wants to share their experiences with white privilege or
how it has affected them. And remind students to email me if they have
any questions or concerns. N/A 2 mins
