YOUTUBE NETFLIX
on February 14, 2005 at 9:13 pm the
website www.youtube.com had been
activated.
Initially the headquarters of youtube was
located above a pizzeria and Japanese.
restaurant in San Mateo, California.
The very first youtube video was
recorded on April 23, 2005 entitled “Me
at the Zoo”.
Youtube began as an angel-funded
enterprise working from a makeshift
office in a garage.
On the 4th month of 2006 Sequioa Artist
Capital Management invested an
additional of $8 million in the said
company
By October 9, 2006 Youtube was
purchased by Google of US$1.65 billion in
stock and completed on the 13th day of
November

had been one of the fastest growing sites
on the world wide web which was able to
host about 65,000 new video uploads
It was ranked as the fifth most popular
website on Alexa
According to Nielsen or Net Ratings it
almost gained an average of 20 million
visitors monthly 44% of the said
population were female and the rest
(56%) were male.
It entered the world of marketing and
advertising partnership with NBC by June
2006
 Youtube was able to deliver about 100
million videos per day by July of the same
year

worked for Paypal.

release a venture firm named Sequioa

the cinema history which are being
pirated and uploaded with an
alternative name to avoid being
caught of theft. Youtube can’t also
ensure that the videos their hosts
upload are of high quality and there
are also videos which are not
thoroughly filtered whether if suits
various ages.
