Over the past several months I have had to pleasure to work with Giovanni Musso on social media
for benni.
benni is a brand aimed at an emerging millennial consumer. We make a variety of wellness products
with the main one being our ready to drink “Relax” shot. This shot contains hemp extract which cannot
currently be advertised through paid social media channels, instead, brands like ours must rely solely on
organic content. This circumstance necessitates high quality organic content that connects with our media
savvy customer base.
Gio was up to this challenge and exceeded expectations. Our brand was fleshed out visually, but
lacked personality; Gio helped us create a voice for it. Gio created captions, tweets, and other organic posts
that were engaging, witty, and consistent with the kind of humor we aim to utilize to more effectively cut
through the noise of today’s crowded media landscape. Gio took it upon himself to create a series of blogs
that carry the spirit of this brand voice. He cultivated this voice across a number of content pieces that are
fun, original, and engaging.
He did not require much direction and asked for clarity when needed. This kind of self-sufficiency
will no doubt serve him well in his promising career. As a growing business, it is important to be able to rely
on a small group of skilled people to accomplish tasks. Gio exceeded all expectations in this role and was a
valuable asset. I’m pleased he also got to see his work come to life and see how various copywriting and
content pieces were utilized as part of our larger content strategy. This kind of experience is valuable for
someone in his position and better helps him contextualize his writing in the future.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with Gio’s work, dedication, and commitment to cultivating a tasteful
approach to our specific needs as well as his outstanding professionalism and creativity.
