2. Next, the assignment will be announced. The class will be creating an online
poster using Canva.

3. Students will need to create or sign into an existing account on the Canva
website.

4. After logging in, students will click on “Create a design”.

5. Using the tools on the website the students will incorporate visually what
they have learned about George Washington. I will show my example poster,
so they have an idea of what I want them to do and explain that I do not
want them to copy my exact poster.

6. The poster should include:

 A title with the president’s name.

 At least three important facts about him (significant dates,
accomplishments, etc.).
 And two or more photos and/or icons related to the person (with
description explaining what the photo/icon is).

7. Finally, when the posters are complete, we will share the posters with the
class and print them out to display in the hall or classroom.
