Raymond,
thinking that UWRT 1104 will only consist of reading random articles and reflecting on them.
But, to my surprise, UWRT 1104 turned out to be a different case. All the writings prompt,
Studios, and papers were always related to me and my family. Throughout, UWRT 1104, I have
learned a lot about my ancestors and myself, but UWRT 1104 also allowed me to learn more
about the stories of my peers and their families. Sharing stories and learning about my peers’
families and their histories was one of the most valuable component in UWRT 1104. I have
significantly grown as a writer but more importantly, I have grown as a researcher and a listener.

family members which allowed me to gather an abundant amount of information. After gathering
details and valuable stories, I was able to glide through the Writing Prompts as I always had
content and passion to write about. Writing Prompts weren’t a burden anymore. I pour my sweat
and hard work into all the Writing Prompts so I appreciate your contributions to my work. The
feedbacks on the Writing Prompts and Studios were truly valuable as they made me a better
writer. I also appreciate the factor of not having any “busy work” in UWRT 1104.
Many of the Writing Prompts, Studios, and other Projects in UWRT 1104 had little to no
restriction/rules. From always have instructions and rules to follow, I found it hard to adapt and
write assignments that lacked restrictions. After a few weeks, I found that writing essays without
having to follow rules actually drove me to create my own and unique product.
improved significantly as this class pushed to become a better researcher, writer, and listener.
The theme of Genealogy was very unique and intriguing. Learning and thinking about my family
back home and hearing stories of my peers’ families helped create a strong bond among me and
the College Environment. UWRT 1104 helped me become a better student and made me a
