The Idea

After looking at the TVC provided by Kinder, I decided to brainstorm

ways this could be converted in shorter, share-able clips. But not just
that. I also wanted to add new context to the video that would update it
to a millennial audience that you would find on platforms like Instagram
and Facebook.

Thus, the idea was to take these videos and infuse them with screens of
text (something that has become very prominent in the age of bite-sized
video sharing today on 9GAG and NowThis etc). Also, to add a fun,
relatable meme-friendly aspect to them by using the infamous ‘Keep
Calm’ format that millennials create and is still one of the best ways to
visually get across most struggles millennials have today.
I’ve made the 15-second and 6-second edits to reflect the tone I’m trying
to achieve and I hope you feel the same way that I do – in the sense that
they’re fun, shareable and target a youthful audience. The specific text
itself can be changed in its smaller details to get a more accurate
messaging going if needed, but even then the idea still is retained and
comes across. If Kinder wants to target an Internet-first audience of
millennials, then there’s no better way than speak their language. As a
millennial myself, I can vouch for that.
