Topic:- Sourav Ganguly : A Great Captain

From very beginning I had this knack to trying to know about cricket players and
cricket. I interested in cricket from childhood. I always want to know about Indian cricket and also
Indian cricket team captains. Indian team is now one of the most successful cricket teams. I choose
this topic because my classmates also want to know about Indian team’s most successful captain.

I started my presentation from introduction of Sourav Chandidas Ganguly, simply

known as Sourav Ganguly. In my presentation first I told about his nickname, when he was born,
about his batting style, bowling style and his role in team. And very next I introduced about Sourav
Ganguly’s family. In this slide I presented his picture with his daughter Sana and his whole family.
After this I presented a slide in which I introduced about his international introduction, like his debut
and about last matches. In very next slide I presented about his captainship in Indian cricket team and
in Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) in Indian Premier League(IPL). Then I showed his career statistics as
a batsman in international cricket matches, first class cricket matches, list-A matches, number of
matches he played, his batting average, his fifties and centuries, total numbers of runs he made and
also about his best scores in ODI, test, first class and list-A matches. then in next slide I presented
about his bowling career too I presented his number of balls delivered, bowling average, total
number of wickets he took, and his best bowling figures in ODI, Test, first class, list-A. Than next I
presented his test career batting performance graph, statistics as a opener, partnerships, his sixes. after
this I presented a slide on his highest number of sixes in an inning and highest number of fours in an
inning. then presented about his best partnerships for ODI. After I told about that how many times he
became man of the match in ODI, in Test matches and also about man of the series.

At last I presented about his achievements like in first test he went to a century,
Sourav’s highest one day score, a mammoth 183 against Sri Lanka in the 1999 World Cup was, at the
time, the highest by an Indian in an ODI, became the captain of the Indian team when Sachin
Tendulkar stepped down in Feb of 2000 and also told about that  Dada reached 100 ODI wickets with
the wicket of Shahid Afridi in the 4th ODI vs. Pakistan at Gwalior. Sourav is only the 3rd player ever
to score 10,000 runs and take 100 wickets in ODI after Sachin Tendulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya. After
that I told about his amazing records like In the Sahara Cup 1997, Sourav Ganguly set a new World
Record for 5 consecutive Man of the Match Awards, Ganguly is the fastest to reach 7000, 8000 and
9000 runs in OD cricket, he was also the second fastest to reach 6000 runs, he has scored over 1000
runs in a calendar year on 5 Occasions, Sourav Ganguly has the distinction of being one of the few
players in the World to Score a century and take 4 wickets in the same match. (ODIs) ,hold the record
of most 200+ ODI partnerships (6 times), holds the record, shared with Sachin Tendulkar, for most
1st wicket ODI partnerships of 175+ runs (7 times). And at last I told about awards which he gain.
