Title: Proposal for Implementation of Civil

Engineering Information System in
public/private sector – Case study
Every student/group should prepare a proposal/working paper to develop one of CEIS for
organisation as mention below.

1. Local Authority (select any local authority)

2. Department of Water Supply (select any water supply authority)
3. Tourism Authority
4. CIDB
5. Ministry for Agriculture
6. State Government (select any state government)
7. Hotel
8. PLUS
9. Department of Environment
10. Telekom
11. Tenaga Nasional
12. Petronas

This proposal/working paper should be as complete and acceptable as virtual proposal in

designing/developing a system. It also should conclude subjects as follows:-

1. introduction
2. system implementation
a. The CEIS application to be developed
b. User background
c. Organisation structure of the users and facilities
d. Software and Hardware platform and its configuration
e. Size or volume of the database and capabilities
f. Data model (DFD and ERD)
g. Costing Estimation
h. And others information, if any
3. system analysis
4. conclusions
a. problems and solution
b. conclusion

Discussion among student should be made before choosing the most suitable title. Papers should
be submitted in hardcopy and softcopy. Project presentation is on the 10th December 2019. All
presentation should be in Powerpoint.
