During this unit, you all have learned so much about the Greek gods and

goddesses from Greek mythology. The purpose of learning all of the Greek
myths before reading the novel The Lightning Thief was so that you all could understand
how to interpret the novel as well as analyze each character based on prior knowledge and learned
information. After each reading in the novel, you were asked to think critically about a specific
quote from each chapter. Using the quotes you have reflected upon, and the information you have
gathered, begin writing a literary analysis based on your chosen topic from the novel.
